MMBoy Piglet's Big Movie DVD review

Post by MickeyMouseboy »

Hello everyone! :)

Here's my review of this yet another pooh & friend movie

Sypnosis

Feeling Small and ignored, Piglet disappears into the 100 Acre Woods. While using his scrapbook to track him down, his friends realize how important he is to their lives.

The Movie

Presented in Anamorphic widescreen 1:66.1, the picture is sharp and clean like previous Pooh movies. The movie to me was kinda cute, doesnt come close to Tigger's movie but the warmth in the colors and half decent songs make this movie enjoyable not much of a story line just flashback of memories woo hoo! there's even a reference from the tigger movie! anyways this might be a good rental piece or if you want to preorder it from the disney store to get the cool Lithograph.

Audio

5.1 Dolby Digital and of course the stupip DTS track which still has me clueless why disney includes these for their cheapquels. as far as the 5.1 goes is very lively and active through the feature.

Bonus Features

no much for this "box office smash" if you call the voice of the lady babysitter on this DVD a feature there's a extra extra feature!

we get the exciting and oh so challenging Disney DVD game! Piglet's book of memories where you have to go thru the woods to find peaces of his crap book opps........ i mean scrapbook! hehe
then we get the oh so exciting World according to piglet read along! and the trademark sing along with the movie! for those of you who own the oh so very super dupper DVD-Rom you get coloring pages to print on your very own printer!

Trailers

Winnie the Pooh- Spring Time with Roo (spring 2004)
The Lion King-Special Edition (old trailer)
Brother Bear (old trailer)
Stitch the Movie (old trailer)

SLEEPING BEAUTY ALL NEW TRAILER! (to see this just say Luke i want to see them! please refer to the front page of Ultimatedisney.com for exclusive footage coming soon!..)

Disney's sing along songs DVDs

Overall

overall this is a satisfying DVD fill with pooh! this will be a pleaser to big pooh fans and kids and of course moms that want their kids to just sit for a hour in front of the TV.

i give this DVD a 5 out of 10 stars

I took my daughter to see this in the theatre and she lasted about 35 minutes.
...and she LOVES Pooh (Winnie, that is).

Definitely passing on this one.

Oh yeah you bet. You see some may look at a review of 5 out of 10 half bad, but I look at it as being half good!

MMB, do ypou actually have this disc in hand? cause it sure sounds like it. :P

Also, why do people call him Pooh? Shouldn't they call him Winnie? I've always wondered that.

I'm Prince Phillip the Human, but people don't call me "Human"...

ugghh...if you're saying that you can't skip the previews by pressing the menu button that is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Haven't come across that since...ummm...The Rescuers Down Under, maybe?

As for putting her to sleep, that's not the problem. Now if I could just find that magic film that makes her want to cooperate in the potty training avenue.... 8)

Didn't they do this on Spookable Pooh? There you don't even have to move the cursor to make a selection - the woman does it for you. You just need to press enter when the selection you want is highlighted
