Yea, it's sad how that might happen, isn't it? :(

Any idea what the next release will be after Pinocchio? Any pattern for this release? I'm wanting to get some blu rays of movies that we missed. Before I try to hunt down vaulted titles, I'm wondering if some of them will release soon in this line.

Blu-ray.com

EDIT: Also found this, looks reliable but no idea if that's linked to the new release.
Found the cover art for the forthcoming Pinocchio: Signature Collection BD/DVD/DC:

OMG, actual line art on characters, not that pseudo-CG shading crap!

DisneyJedi wrote:Um.... Okay. Why didn't they release Pinocchio and Lady and the Tramp last year when they had the chance?! I mean, it would've been perfect because last year was Pinocchio's 75th anniversary and Lady and the Tramp's 60th fell last year! :(
Snow White should have been next year as it would have been the 80th anniversary and Fantasia should have been last year for the 75th anniversary.

I agree with you that it is nice, but it is also really lazy.

The best part, imo.

I know the cover is simplistic, but it...kind of works for me? I like the little "Signature Collection" logo in the bottom right.

I'm not really a fan of the cover, but I have the platinum edition already so I'm not too bothered. Will probably just get the digital copy.

Yeah, me too. I think I'll just buy the digital copy. But I really love the cover. I think it's better to use old clipart than crappy new one.

I received my copy of the new Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray, and I love the new features. The Recording Session featurette was the best IMO. I think I watched it at least 10 times. The one with Paige O'Hara was awesome, and the sneak peek at the 2017 remake, although short, was very nice.

Some new info on the upcoming Pinocchio Signature Edition Blu-ray. No word if the previous bonus features will be on disc or digital only, but one of the grail of new extras is a documentary on women in animation!

The cover has been altered a bit.

Ooooh, the cover is much better! Thank goodness! I'm so glad they are using new art instead of recycling old art, even if it is based on old art. New art is how it always should be.

The trailer was nice. It was pretty.

I don't get the women in animation bonus feature being on this release. I would think it would be on a film that a lot of females worked on or a film about a female.

The lithograph is very cool and very nice, though!

Good Lord.... I am ok with them creating new artwork for new releases, but could they get someone to draw this stuff ON MODEL? Or at least someone who understands volumes, linework and anatomy... a simple glimpse at this new cover and I cringe. At least the old artwork was GOOD!

Too bad the lithograph isn't the cover. And too bad they had to go and change a good thing. At least the title's still horizontal.

That's what Disney does best. :P

While I wasn't a fan of the previous cover, at least the characters were on-model which is more than I can say about the new one.
