Next Treasures From the Disney Vault- March 9
Next Treasures From the Disney Vault- March 9
This is a Wednesday, and here's the schedule. This will be on TCM as always.
8:00pm-The Whalers (1938)
8:15pm- Sea Scouts (1939)
8:30pm- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)
10:45pm- Operation Undersea (1954)
11:45pm- Merbabies (1938)
12:00am- Secrets of Life (1956)
1:30am- Nikki, Wild Dog of the North (1961)
3:00am- Return to Snowy River (1988)
4:45am- Lt. Robin Crusoe USN (1966)
Not bad! 20,000 Leagues is one of the all-time greats, and for whatever reason, only a segment of "Operation Undersea" made it on the DVD.
Also, on January 27 (another Wed), TCM will air The Absent-Minded Professor and The Shaggy Dog, good calls, as Fred MacMurray will be this star of the month.

I will watch everything but Return to Snowy River. Not real Disney enough for me. I have certain standards of what I consider "authentic" Disney.

I'll probably DVR 20,000 Leagues (as I've never seen it before), but I'm not too interested in the rest of the line-up.

I'll be watching as always.
I'm especially excited for "Operation: Undersea", since despite its importance, this isn't too easy to find nowadays. The DVD only comes with a clip from it, surprisingly.

I'm pretty sure the original Vault Disney DVD release of 20,000 Leagues had the complete Operation Undersea episode, but I'll double check my copy to make sure.
Can't seem to find a theme to the upcoming June Treasures night. And weren't some of those shorts (Old King Cole, for example) shown before?
Re: Next Treasures From the Disney Vault- March 9
Nah, these are all new to the block.
There's a lot of shorts this time, as well. Interesting.

Bumping to remind people of tomorrow's lineup!
I'm going to Animal Kingdom for a bit tomorrow, so I'll probably miss The Parent Trap, which is fine since I own it and have seen it a million times anyway. I'll try to catch everything else, though.

Re: Next Treasures From the Disney Vault- March 9
I have always wanted to see Disneyland Around The Seasons. It was the first World of Color episode aired after Walt's death 3 days previously. So fitting to be an episode featuring his beloved Disneyland.
