Any word on any new animated Blu-rays we didn't get coming out this year?
2016 seems so dry to me. :(
I think it's okay to assume Beauty and the Beast would be the next Walt Disney Signature to coincide with the upcoming film. There just hasn't been any trailers yet. Even Zootopia only has a trailer for Finding Dory.

PS. Did we ever get a press release as to what the Walt Disney Signature collection entails? It seems too early to reissue all of the Diamond editions. The only title I could see them doing next would be Pinocchio which we all expected to be a Diamond. The bonus features are still bare compared to the Platinums so I couldn't say what this collection's goal really is other than pushing movies out for the newer generations.

This is true. Did Snow White sell good? Maybe that was a trial release. Beauty and the Beast will be released due to the live action film and the recent 25 anniversary special they did, no questions asked. I'm super excited for it too! :D

I agree about 2016 being dry! As of right now, there is absolutely nothing to pre-order? There is nothing on the schedule for North America?

I know! It's so horrible. Makes me angry too because they need to finish the animated Blu-rays before rereleasing others! :x

So I take it that rumored release date of 6/14/16 for Saludos Amigos & The Three Caballeros didn't pan out...

Cool! Maybe Belle's Magical World will also be released in Hi-Def. Although I wouldn't be interested in buying it.

Proper wide release. The DMC exclusives are never listed on this kind of database websites.

Could someone tell me if Disney Spain has any plans to finally release The Great Mouse Detective, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Winnie the Pooh on BD?

Can´t believe we still don´t have them.

And, any news on The Black Cauldron?

So awesome! Def will be picking that up as well. I want Belle's Magical World on Blu-ray as well. Hope it gets released the same time or a little after! :)

Snow White did as well as always!

Here's the list of the highest grossing blu rays in 2016
http://www.the-numbers.com/home-market/ ... sales/2016

For your convenience...
Snow White:546,484 units sold
Aladdin: 174,211
Frozen: 80,875
Alice in Wonderland: 55,262 (yes the animated version I checked)
Sleeping Beauty: 51,100
The Little Mermaid: 49,263
all in top 100

Since Disney is full of surprises, It's hard to expect what exactly to expect for the next signature edition.
My best guess, if history repeats itself, will be Bambi
But it could just as easily be Pinocchio or Fantasia (then again that might just get a DMR exclusive like Alice)

Also, this is a longshot but...

Remember in 2010 Disney released Alice on an unanniversary edition, that was just the 2004 edition repackaged. And then out of nowhere released an actual release in 2011. Well who knows Alice might be the next signature if Disney does that again, for the live action remake/sequel. But again, that's a complete longshot theory, just thought it was interesting to bring up.

Okay, so bad news... Turns out this new release is coming out only on DVD and Digitally!!! :(
That is, a DVD only (without a digital copy), and a digital release on all the digital platforms and DMA. I wouldn't completely rule out a DMC-Exclusive Blu-ray release or a later wider release, but I'm going to stop predicting as over the past year BVHE has been a complete mess...

So sorry to disappoint, Matt (+ others)...

Release date is now October 25th, no word on any kind of release for Belle's Magical World so far.

Full press release is on Stitch Kingdom.

Does Disney even try anymore? It's like every year things get worse and worse when it comes to home video releases (or lack thereof). Might as well go completely digital and close up shop already. That's where they're headed anyway...

Disney is proud to announce that for the first time in a long time, you can bring home the Disney Princesses available to purchase and own all at the same time! In honor of the 25th anniversary of the beloved animated classic “Beauty and the Beast”, Disney fans are gaining unprecedented access to Disney’s Princess films. On Sept. 6, the beloved animated classic featuring Belle and Beast will be released as part of The Walt Disney Signature Collection and in celebration of the event, for the first time ever, all 11 Disney Princess films are being made available to bring home at the same time, Sept. 6 – Oct. 17.

Aren't all of those films currently out-of-the-Vault (besides B&tB)? (To double-check, I went on BestBuy.com, and there they all were, for regular prices.)

I think that is what they mean, you can buy all the movies in the store at the same time when Beauty and the Beast is released. But only until October 17th. Atleast one movie or two after that date will probably go back in to the Disney Vault. I think it will be Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and/or The little mermaid.

Wow horrible news! :x
I may still get the digital copy though, since I already own the 2-Disc Blu-Ray.

Why is Frozen not included?

Sure, Elsa is a Queen but she also started as princess plus Anna still is. Anyways, it is a princess movie. Why don´t have it in the list?
