Dreamworks in talks to have Disney as it's new distributor
Re: Dreamworks in talks to have Disney as it's new distribut
Am I missing something? This deal covers only live-action DW films; DreamWorks Animation (which is a separate company to DW) films are distributed by 20th Century Fox.

Wasn´t the deal to distribute around 25 films during this period?
They didn´t came close to that number at all: What I remember just from going through my mind there was only approx. 11 movies distributed up to now. One or two more give around 15 maybe. Didn´t work out as they thought I think.

What strikes me the most of this break-up is that it means we might not see the Touchstone logo for a while. The DreamWorks distribution deal and animated movies they didn't want to release under the Disney name were the only things keeping Touchstone alive. With DreamWorks going elsewhere and Lucasfilm and Marvel using their own logos, will Disney still feel the need to use Touchstone?

Probably not, unless they were willing to take on another R-rated film. Disney seems comfortable enough with themselves that they've been using their own name for more "adult" movies for quite some time.estefan wrote:What strikes me the most of this break-up is that it means we might not see the Touchstone logo for a while.
