Did you guys ever hear about this? The Trembly brothers (the creators of the original Swat Kats) is bringing back the show as a continuation and has created a Kickstarter to gain enough to bring the show back with some of it's original cast members (Charlie Adler, Barry Gordan, Jim Cummings etc).

Let's hope it'll be 2D. And by that I mean 2D that's as good as the original show's 2D.

They have confirmed in interviews that the series will have that stylistic approach they did with Season 2 (with updates to it) and the vehicles will be a unique looking CG so who knows what it will look like.

There's only 8 days left until the Kickstarter ends but I'm very happy with the results we did get. Hopefully Swat Kats will return to TV very soon.

Awesome i loved SK since i was 12 when it hit TBS in the early 90s and been one of my faves.

I hope it's stylish, well made and all that. T-Bone should be more badass than ever and i also want one of my animated dreamgirls Callie to look hotter than ever, lol.

I used to have every episode of the original series on VHS. I thought the theme of the 1st season was kickass and awesome, and thought the 2nd season theme was a letdown.

Probably my favorite episode was Katastrophe, when the main villains, Dark Kat, Dr. Viper, and the Metallikats formed an evil alliance.
