While I would disagree with that statement and say that it is the current direction of Disney animated films that's embarrassing, I do admit that Brother Bear is not one of my most favorite hand-drawn films that Disney did in the early 2000's (when I consider their films notably weaker than before, but not terrible and still true to what Disney animation is). And I do know that Steve Jobs is no longer among us, so while I disagree with him, I will also show him respect.Tristy wrote:Well, from what I recall, he called it "embarrassing."

Even though I don't think Good Dinosaur will beat Inside Out's box office numbers, I still think this will be a very good movie.

Holy scenery. This definitely brings back memories of the similarly atmospheric and cutesy Wall-E trailers. That's a very good thing.

Wow! That was beautiful!
Re: The Good Dinosaur--11/25/15
Watching this trailer was like watching at a stunning beautiful movie at a theater and a stupid fly is flying in front of the projector.
The character designs are that bad. What was Pixar thinking??!!

Seeing the characters in motion, I actually don't mind the designs. I thought the trailer was done rather well, and it's leaps-and-bounds better than the last trailer. I'm actually rather impressed.

Not a fart joke in sight, I have to say it even reminds me a little bit of the Land Before Time.TheSequelOfDisney wrote:Seeing the characters in motion, I actually don't mind the designs. The Good Dinosaur (the movie) looks really great. The Good Dinosaur (the character) looks awful.

I like the designs and think the film itself looks fantastic. I've loved the concept since the film was announced and am very excited to finally see the finished product.

The trailer is beautiful!
I actually think the cartoony character designs are pretty nicely integrated into the very photorealistic backgrounds. Personally, I think it's an interesting look that doesn't immediately scream "Pixar," which is a good thing once in a while.

To be honest, I find the character designs to be quite Pixaresque.ce1ticmoon wrote:I actually think the cartoony character designs are pretty nicely integrated into the very photorealistic backgrounds. And now that I've finally seen the trailer, I found it to be was quite epic and cu! However, the characterdesigns are distracting! The look of the lizard and the dinosaurs at the beginning (I hope it's going to be in the movie, though I doubt it) looked good. And the nature looks fantastic! Why couldn't Pixar make more realistic or compelling character-designs desings?
Either way, I wonder if this movie will feature less dialgoue and rely on pantomime, at the vein of "Wall-E"?

ugh Im so torn about this film. I love the tone of the film, gentle, simple, no forced humor...but the design choices?! why such cartoony dinosaurs? why make the backgrounds so photorealistic?
I do wish more animated film trailers were like this though...

Does anyone think Arlo reminds them of Littlefoot. I just wonder how dark this movie will be because the current synopsis says that Arlo will lose his father in a tragic accident.unprincess wrote:ugh Im so torn about this film. I enjoyed that trailer far more than I enjoyed the whole Inside Out film.
Still completely believe this will be the better movie. It's the first time in a long time a Disney trailer hasn't made me roll my eyes or groan. Can't wait to see more.

So do I hope. Although I'm not a so-called Pixar fanboy, they can make a masterpiece now and then.Widdi wrote:Still completely believe this will be the better movie.

Re: The Good Dinosaur--11/25/15
The scenery and tone of the trailer does indeed suggest a beautiful film, but I have to agree that the designs look a bit misplaced against the ultra-realistic backgrounds. Had the backgrounds been a bit more stylised, I'm sure they would blend better. I'll surely go and see the film, but it still doesn't have me completely hooked in the way I had hoped.

A new tv spot has been launched;

To be honest, I'm a little dissapointed by the logo as well. It's generic.

The whole human dog thing isn't that appealing to me...

I'll still give it a chance so hopefully it works well in the film, or else this may SUCK
