That's gorgeous!
Plus: "A 2-disc set including the original restored soundtrack, 7 lost chords recordings and 9 bonus tracks."
Do we already have the tracklist?
The lost chords must be the same ones from the 2012 edition of the soundtrack, but I wonder if the new recordings are listed as "bonus tracks", and, therefore, we only have 2 bonus tracks to discover.

Sotiris, I'm curious if you are normally a fan of Lorelay's stuff? Like her actual visual development artwork? I love her stuff. I'll admit that she sometimes skews a little close to "too stylized", but for the most part I just love how quick and rough her paintings are, while still capturing the feel of the scene. Are you a Mary Blair fan? Lorelay has always reminded me of her.

Also for me, like someone else mentioned, the visual consistency for this collection has been a *HUGE* selling point for me. Its most definitely the most consistent collection Disney has put out so far. Here's hoping they don't screw it up.

I can't say that I am. I mean, I do like some of her work but it varies from piece to piece. I usually prefer work of hers that doesn't go too simplistic and basic. And yes, her style has been heavily influenced by Mary Blair (of whom I'm not a big fan of either). Regardless of my artistic preferences though, I still find that her work on the Legacy Collection is objectively amongst her weakest entries (probably because it was done with traditional media which are more difficult to work with). And I don't just mean the covers, but her artwork for the booklets as well. Some examples:

I love consistency too but not at the expense of appeal. And they still could have had consistency if they'd gone with a different approach or artist. Another thing that bothers me is that they didn't use a veteran Disney artist to illustrate this collection (like someone who actually worked on these films). They always assign Lorelay Bove or Brittney Lee for these type of projects who have been with the studio for a very little time comparatively.

Personally, I’m glad Lorelay Bove is illustrating this collection, and I think some of the appeal would be lost without her covers. I’d buy them anyway, ofc, but they’re nicer than anything I’d ever have expected from Disney these days. As far as being off-model, they barely look worse than the DVD/Blu-Ray covers Disney puts out which aren't even stylized.

I completely agree with you.

The ideas are nice, but the execution is not the best.
What is sad is that Disney could probably just use rough sketches from concept design of each movie. I'm sure that black and white sketches of the characters could give give some similarity between covers.

But I'm also very disappointed that World of Color isn't included. They should at least put Part of Your World, it's so beautiful and now I'll probably have to wait 60 more years to maybe hear it in its full glory
For me, this is easily the most disappointing release in the series. There is not one song on here that hasn't been released on one of the past theme park collections (or on it's own CD, in the case of Fantasmic). It would have been nice if they had included a 4th disc with demos, alternate mixes and rare tracks like the other Legacy Collection releases, things like a mix of It's a Small World with the classic Disney tunes mixed in that they've had since they added the characters to the ride. Or how about either the original mix of the Electrical Parade soundtrack or the newer mix they started using during it's last year at California Adventure.

And since the Legacy Collection CD's are being released to celebrate the anniversaries of these Disney films and the park, along with this being a Disneyland Park exclusive for a few months, I believe this is the 60th anniversary music release. Hopefully, they'll have a seperate CD release with the new 60th parade and fireworks soundtracks.

I quite like Lorelay Bove's work even though, as a semi-professional artist, it doesn't fit with my style and isn't something I would try to replicate. It certainly follows the Mary Blair style that's popular in illustration/animation at the moment, so I suppose there may be a sense of "too much of a good thing". I can understand why people can spot the flaws (such as the thick eyelids), but I think the imperfections are a result of the gouache medium and the fact that the originals may have been made too small to order. It's refreshing, though, to see some contemporary professional illustration not being digitally enhanced; sometimes digital paintings are too perfect for their own good and look clinical. Equally, it's a breath of fresh air from the usual commercial posters and CD/DVD covers where titles are placed sideways, characters look rubbery and colours clash with tacky borders and frames. Of all the covers, I think it would have to be the Cinderella cover, partly due to the fact that the original was in a Mary Blair style and Lorelay's artwork is quite similar, but also because it looks so pretty. I also love the covers for Fantasia and Disneyland. The former cover actually reminds me of some of the early concept art for "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" where Mickey still hadn't been redesigned and still had dots for eyes, and the latter works well due to its relative minimalism.

I have been meaning to pick some of these sets up, though forgetfulness/money gets in my way - it doesn't help that they sell for some bit more in the UK more than their equivalent price in the US. I'm definitely going to get Fantasia very soon, essentially just for the Irwin Kostal soundtrack. I also will get The Little Mermaid and possibly Sleeping Beauty - I have neither soundtrack in any format. I'm going to skip The Lion King, I think, and I already got the 50th Anniversary album for Mary Poppins with an iTunes voucher. With Pinocchio, I'm torn; ideally I would like to get it, but there's really very little of new things to be that interesting and I already have a copy of the soundtrack on CD from years ago. In any case, it would be brilliant if they kept the releases going for another year or two as the sheer concept is good in an industry dominated by streaming and digital copies as opposed to collectable items.

I didn't think we'd see Cinderella so soon because it will be released so much later, but wow, that is one beautiful cover! The only two things for me are that you can't tell if there's hearts on the slippers, and her dress might supposed to be more silver if the 2015 restoration mistakenly made it blue in that scene. But I love Cinderella's demure and sad expression.

But it is seriously one gorgeous cover! Quite magical! I love it! I know this will sound biased but I think it is the best cover so far. I like how it's centered. That's good like Lady and the Tramp's was. But The Little Mermaid's is my second favorite cover.

So I finally received my copies of Mary Poppins and Fantasia, and their spines are like almost half the size of other releases and it's messing up my visual enjoyment lol... Is this the case with everyone else's or were my copies from some faulty stock?

That's because Fantasia and Mary Poppins have more CDs than the other releases.

I know, but it still looks like they could have come in smaller cases like the other ones; there's some empty space in the Mary Poppins one, at least.

But thanks, good to know it's okay.

I'm hoping the whole series doesn't transition to being released via Intrada. That'll basically mean higher prices just like L&tT, which'll mean I'll have to pass on the rest until a later time.

Same here!
I can't wait for it! Pocahontas is my third most anticipated soundtrack from this collection!!

Also, kinda off topic..
Has anyone ever noticed the similarities between Pocahontas and other movies?
Two examples:
1. The beginning of Savages Part 2 is pretty much like Sanctuary (When Quasi decides to save Esmeralda, the realization moment).

2. For Good from Wicked is very very similar to If I never knew you. How do I know? Well, when I was driving one day, For Good was playing and I accidentally started singing If I never knew you somewhere in the middle. lol :P

I'm happy "Pocahontas" is included on this franchise. However, I wonder if the behind the scenes-info will be as elaborate as their previous releases, considering how Disney pretty much neglects this movie.

I hope "Hunchback" will be released as well.
