No, they released approximately half of the Black and White Mickey shorts on Vol 1.
Maybe i wasn't clear what i meant was i thought there were only 3 shorts released in the year 1928 'steamboat willie' gallopin gaucho' and 'plane crazy'. all of which are on mickey mouse in black and white volume 1. so why does volume 2 say 1928-1935 if all of the shorts from 1928 were on the other volume?
Maybe there will be some Oswald shorts on it. According to this page, there were 21 shorts released in 1928.<p><a href="http://disneyshorts.toonzone.net/years/ ... tml</a></p>

Actually he did have major input into the True Life Adventures tin, which might be why it has mysteriously disappeared.

These Roy Disney conspiracies are in all truth and honesty, becoming quite ridiculous.

These sets make money, Disney will not cancel a title that's more than likely already under production, just because one of Eisner's many disputants had some sort of involvement or connection to it.

If I recall, Leonard Maltin's signature was among the 27,000 which appeared on Roy's Save Disney petetion last year calling for Michael's resignation and oust from his CEO position... does that mean that all future waves should be cancelled and previous sets should be recalled at the company's expense because it's disagreeable to Eisner?

Roy has been around for years, he's as much a part of Disney as anyone currently working for the company right now.

To assume that he wouldn't be approached by someone such as Leonard Maltin (whose role is totally independant) or the producers of these Treasure sets, based on the fact that he was there when the films and shorts were being produced and had direct access to a behind the scenes perspective of Disney and those artists and prominent talents employed and comissioned at the time, is simply dumb.

Who better than to seek for insight?

Eisner has no connection whatsoever to these DVD's. He offers no oversight or supervision as to the direction of the series. I doubt he's even aware of the specs and content for these sets let alone much more outside of the solicitations for funding and fiscal reports he recieves at the end of each term.

I can state with 100% confidence that True-Life Adventures was not cancelled as a result of Roy, but more than like put off until the next wave due to the fact that we've already seen four previous releases this year and they probably weren't looking to flood the market.

It's not that hard of a stretch. The True Life Adventures are "Roy's babies" so to speak. Given the recent media fiasco about the REAL reason the third wave was delayed, being caught in the crossfire between Roy and Michael, as written here:<p><a href="http://www.mediabinge.com/mb/articles/s ... 230</a></p>

Er. We discussed this at the time the article appeared on Jim Hill and it appears he was wrong, especially given the actual facts when they were released. Not only did Wave 3 feature Roy's signature, but Roy's interview was on the On the Font Lines release, but the tins were manufacured in larger numbers and didn't even have any numbers stamped on the tins (allowing numbers to be upped again if need be). The reasons given by Disney seem to hold up without conspiracy theories. (Never put down to conspiracy what can be put down to stupidity).

Jim Hill's site is nothing but gossip, and like most gossip must be taken with a pinch of salt. Especially given a record like this:

The link on the post should be http://www.mediabinge.com/mb/articles/s ... php?ID=437 on the new site.

I didn't say that I agreed with Jim Hill. I was just pointing out that because of the above frenzy, it's not such a far fetched idea for people to think that the reason the True Life Adventures have been delayed on DVD, is because it was Roy's project, and now he has been "dismissed" from the board. Sounds logical, but it could be for other reasons as well.

Well, he resigned from the board, though a "dismissal" was probably likely.
