The problem for me is I have all these soundtracks already when they were originally released as part of the classic soundtrack series in the late 90s. They are complete and beautifully done. Therefore whether I will purchase any of the legacy collection is strictly based on the bonuses. And the only one I've bought so far was Sleeping Beauty so I could get the Tutti Camarata versions. I love the soundtracks to Pinocchio, Mary Poppins and Fantasia but there wan't anything there worth double dipping for. I'm anxious to see what's on the Disneyland collection but I already have the fantastic box set that came out for the 50th anniversary in 2005.

Well, to give my opinion about this new collection; I like it and it's a great treat for us Disney fans. I've so far bought "Sleeping Beauty", "Fantasia", "Mermaid", "Pinocchio" and "The Lion King". I like the writings and the bonus clips that comes with the discs. While it's a pity that those are only limited available. What I dislike about it, is Lorelay Bové's atwork. It's too generic for my taste. While I did like her atwork in "Mermaid", it was the only exception, though.

I'm glad the full scores for "Mermaid" and "Lion King" finally got released. But I'm dissapointed that not the whole "Sleeping Beauty's" score was included. As Aurora's first chant in the woods and the original "A Cootage In the Woods", which had a high flute at the beginning.

I'm surprised that "Pocahontas is among the upcoming releases, considering how Disney has semi-neglected it. But it's full score deserves to be released, as with "Hunchback". And "The Aristocats" is also a surprise.

And if "Aladdin" gets released, I'll hope the movie version gets released instead of the studio version.

Me either. In fact I'm glad. Now I don't have to force myself to buy it for the sake of having a complete collection. I don't care for Randy Newman one bit so the last thing I want is a CD full of Randy Newman demos.

I think they'll probably still do Toy Story at some point. Just maybe not till later this year or some point down the line. My question is what will they do for the people that preordered the whole collection of 12.

I imagine they'll be doing B&tB to coincide with the Emma Watson/Dan Stevens film adaptation of the musical, which is the same reason I believe they moved Cinderella up--to be closer to the film that's out right now. I'm not sure when the film's going to be released, but, if it's in late 2016, I believe that's the animated film's 25th anniversary?

I have the nice release that coincided with the B&tB Platinum DVD, but I'd love to have the whole score + whatever extras they'll give. :)

You say that like the release was cancelled. It's just delayed (thank goodness).

Toy Story is tentatively slated for July 7, Pocahontas's July 21 date is now tentative as well, and Lady and the Tramp will get a wide release on August 21.

I'm still waiting for a Wave 2 to be announced for 2016, and like Disney's Divinity, really want/expect Beauty and the Beast to be included. They could take the Special Edition soundtrack and include additional music cues (a la the Legacy Collection release of The Lion King) to provide a complete score+songs experience.

And the second disc can include all the tracks from "The Music Behind the Magic" (the instrumental prologue, unreleased instrumental masters, original Ashman/Menken demos, the "Beauty and the Beast" work tape) along with any additional material they might deem worthy inclusion. I personally would love for them to include an instrumental track of the longer, waltz-esque version of "Beauty and the Beast" that plays at the Live on Stage show in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Actually, I would really want a complete soundtrack of the 25-minute show, that way we can finally have the different narration and orchestrations featured in it.

And while I'm dreaming, maybe a third disc with the Original Broadway Cast Recording, plus "A Change in Me" from Susan Egan's So Far... album.

I really want to purchase these, but it's just too expensive for me, since I'm in Europe to order these from Amazon and paying customs.

If I could use someone's US address for my Amazon order (free shipping in US) and have them repackage the items in a good bubblewrap enveloppe with standard international shipping (that I could pay through PayPal) it would be much much cheaper for me.

If anyone's up to offering their address for me to use and re-ship some items, it would be much appreciated :-)

It seems like Disney are really starting to care a bit about this project. Their entire effort to cater to the fans of their soundtracks seems well planned. The site http://www.disneymusicemporium.com make it looks like Disney are now invested in putting some more thought into their CD & vinyl/LP releases.

I think it would be a bit weird if they did not let this collection continue in coming years, since they have so many more soundtracks to chose from:
- Snow White
- Alice in Wonderland
- Peter Pan
- Beauty and the Beast
- Aladdin
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
- Hercules
- Mulan
- Tarzan
- Fantasia 2000
- Enchanted
- Tangled
- Frozen
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

I would love if they included "The Fox and the Hound" into this franchise. It has such a beautiful and haunting score that deserves to be released.

They should include Dumbo since the score won an Oscar. I'd love to see the package features on CD. And of course, the soundtrack to Song of the South.

I'd like them to do Sword in the Stone. That's never had a proper soundtrack release and the Legacy Collection would be a good excuse to do so and include the Sherman Brother's demos.

Yes, please!

I'd like them all, but TSitS is probably my number 1 want.

So the original Pocahontas soundtrack has 28 tracks and yet it's not the whole thing after all??

I was sure the entire score was already on the soundtrack.

No, not at all. Even with the impressive amount of 28 tracks, many cues from the soundtrack were left out. The final tracks only had the half of the scores, not the entire ones. The full tracks were "Ship At Sea", "Percy's Bath", "Ratcliffe's Plan", "The Warriors Arrive" and "Farewell". The others just had the first or second half of the tracks.

Well, Disneyland's and especially L&tT's release dates are near, and no covers. :( The odd thing is I've noticed Cinderella is already up for pre-order on Amazon, but neither of those two are. Which makes me believe I was right that they moved it up to possibly draw on interest from the live-action Cinderella for sales. I'm still wondering if L&tT will get a cover similar to the others if it's being released through Intrada?

I like how the website sends out birthday wishes to important people in Disney's history (particularly their musical history). You can only get the lithographs by ordering the entire set at once, right? Too bad. Most of the shots they chose for the lithographs are gorgeous (TLM, MP, SB, and TLK).
