Be still, my beating heart.Sotiris wrote:Disney Germany is releasing a new collector's edition of Beauty and the Beast on April 16.
I've amassed too many editions of the film in its various U.S. home media releases; if I were to start collecting international versions, I'd probably go bankrupt. But I really want this...
(Heck, I still want the original UK DVD because it had a gorgeous digibook)

Maybe June 9th will be the summer release day for the remaining DACs in the US.

That German Beauty and the Beast is so damn gorgeous. Wow. Classy cover. Those Continental Europeans and their releases.
I'm so disillusioned with current Disney Releases, I'm going back and buying some of the original DVD releases before all the Digital restorations. Little Mermaid turned up today (UK equivalent of the Limited Issue) so now I can enjoy that controversial Priest's knee and glorious all encompassing grain. A few more I want to get for aspect ratio reasons.
I suppose my plan is to import the Aladdin Diamond, buy Big Hero 6 and Black Cauldron when it appears and apart from the few odds and sods I missed or deliberately waited on, wait for the physical successor to blu-ray (which I doubt it coming - I think its probably going to be all online downloads and streaming).
I am hoping this is the year Disney will finally give us the remaining DACs and I wouldn't complain if they were to release the Treasures on Blu-ray/DVD (not going to happen).

Hey guys, check this out! It seems the Diamond Collection will end next year, with the spring release of Pinocchio, and Snow White will start a new collection, in the fall, titled the Ultra Collection.

Is this another April Fool's joke? Someone sure went to a lot of trouble to make this look real.Sicoe Vlad wrote:Hey guys, check this out!

If that is not an April Fool's joke then the Pixar line-up for the coming years is beyond boring. Four sequels and just two original films? Bleh ...
If I were an animator at Pixar I think I would want to jump ship to WDAS. Not that the latter will be breaking any new ground, it seems, but the announced projects are at least semi-interesting.

Hopefully by next month! And with Star Wars VII, The Muppets' 60th anniversary, and the January Disney Afternoon titles, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a few surprises up their sleeve.Matt wrote:Any new word on any Disney Animated films coming out for the rest of the year? Sweet! I only have Season 1 on DVD. Need the other two. I believe they are pretty cheap on Amazon.Mickeyfan1990 wrote:I was actually thinking of The Muppet Show Season 4 finally hitting DVD.Matt wrote: The Muppets movie or TV show?

Personally, I am crossing my fingers for the last remaining package films to be released...with some bonus features!!!!! and of course, "The Black Cauldron"

I'm very excited for Aladdin to come out finally!
Also they should redo the transfers to The Sword In The Stone and The Fox And The Hound IMO.
