Not that I'm buying, but I like the cover. Even if they've been using that same picture of Cruella for what feels like 25 years.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ "Elizabeth Taylor"
Katy Perry ~ "bandaid"
Meghan Trainor ~ "Still Don't Care"

Well, that image of Cruella is pretty much a tracing from her "Anita dah-ling" entrance in the film.

But I believe it has only been used in the Platinum cover before.... all other video releases had different images of Cruella.

It´s the same one as the one released in Europe. Just tweaked a little bit.

I'm loving the new features here. A new animated short and a classic Walt Disney TV episode! That's just awesome!

I just hope that the release keeps the best stuff from the DVD. The documentary on it wasn't one of their best, but it's better than nothing, and I remember other solid stuff being on there.

Wow! after reading the official press release, I have to say that this release seems as though it is going to be well worth the money to buy. Glad to see that they are including the actual "Wonderful World of Color" episode that was used to promote the film at the time of it's release. After the lackluster releases of recent Diamond editions....this is a welcomed surprise.

Yeah, so far it sounds good. :D I hope they don't change their minds at the last minute, like when they said the second Tarzan DVD release was going to be a special 2 disc edition, and it ended up pretty much being a rehash of the previous release... same thing with The Aristocats DVD release.

I have to say that after purchasing this release, and viewing it( bonuse features as well); this is a solid offering. I am more than pleased with the fact that Disney actually added some new features and listened to the outcry about "scrubbing" the classic films too much. This film is soo interesting to me, not only for the visual style, but, the story telling, characters and the fact that they were trying something new. "Dalmatians" has always been a favorite, but, it was not until watching the "Re-defining the Line" documentary...that a more pronounced appreciation developed for this film. *side note* I do take a bit of an issue at how often the film is referred to as the first Disney-animated-feature to be set in current time....what about "Dumbo"? it clearly looks like the 30's/40's to me. Anywho.....some reviews have stated that the addition of the "Disneyland" episode was a let down.....but I tend to disagree....I am actually excited knowing that these shows are somewhere in the vaults preserved( can we please have them offered to buy???)....if Disney is planning to go fully digital..I would like to see some of these television productions and the theatrical shorts made available. But enough of my ranting....all in all...the Diamond edition of "101" is a good addition to my blu-ray collection, and it get's 2 thumbs up from me :)

Watching the Blu-ray reminded me of a question I had ages ago...

Does anyone know the circumstances behind Perdita's voice? It changes almost halfway through the movie. It goes from soft to deeper and with a more arch English accent. You can hear the switch right from when Pongo and Perdita decide to employ the Twilight Bark to when they do so in the park.

Perdita speaks so little I never noticed it, to be honest. I'll have to check it out. Where I notice a character's voice really changing is Wart/Arthur's in The Sword in the Stone.
