I haven't really been on-board with these live-action adaptations/remakes that they've been doing lately, but I actually think this one looks like it might be pretty good. I'll wait for some more reviews to come in, but I may check this out. And Frozen Fever definitely adds some incentive.

Your welcome Atlantica! I got mine from eBay for about $300.

Thanks for the clip and featurette OldFishTale! I liked Cinderella and the Kit's meeting. There acting was pretty good. I felt something between them. Though I would prefer more "love at first sight" romance. And it's cool Sophie McShera thought the stepfamily's costumes were the best. It's not hard to see why she thinks that, though I now think Cinderella's and the Fairy Godmother's are the best.

As for the deleted scenes, I am for their deletion if it makes the film better. I just would sign a petition to get to see the scenes, either in or out of the film.

Hey, question to anyone: When the stepmother says to Ella, "Isn't it too much to ask you to prepare the food, serve it, and still sit with us? Wouldn't you prefer to eat when all the work is done, Ella?", do you think she means "It's too much work to make you do all that, and then eat, and it would be easier on you if you ate when all of the serving/finishing with breakfast for us is done?" Or "It's too much to make you do all that, and then eat, and it would be easier on you if you ate when all the work of the day is done?", or that she means, "Don't you think it's too much for you to be a servant to us and get to eat with us like you're the same as us? And by the way, wouldn't you rather eat when all the work is done?" What d'you guys think?

Fortunately only the footage from the film was in French. Not the interviews.

This will probably pop up in English soon then. Being able to understand it, it's quite funny to hear the Fairy Godmother suggest a watermelon or a beef tomato at first instead of a pumpkin. :p

Haha was beef tomato the translation of the second suggestion? It's funny because the second suggestion was actually a cantaloupe in the film.

Inside the Magic is a RAVE:
Just saw "Cinderella." Gorgeous. Enchanting. Endlessly romantic. Completely drawn into the fairy tale turned real. A perfect retelling.
"Frozen Fever" is cute, sweet, and funny. Shows a new side of Elsa. Lots of merchandise potential.
BTW: WOW! What a voice, Lily James! Oh my gosh! Why weren't these renditions in the final film: Biddi-Boppti-Boo was PERFECT! I can tell Helena will be perfect!

Can anyone answer my question about what the stepmother says from a page back?

In regards to Luke's review, I will say if the only bad thing people can say about this film is that it's a straightforward retelling, then I'd take that negative criticism over criticism about bad acting, writing, directing, etc.

Btw, Cinderella's run time is now listed as 112 minutes. Did they go back and add more to it, or does the new run time include Frozen Fever, or was it always 112 and the earlier 105 was a mistake?

There are two or three more reviews that I came across on Twitter that were mixed or negative. Reason? It's a straightforward retelling and that there wasn't anything new. I don't think these people paid proper attention to the film, in my opinion. There were a number of new scenes that weren't in the 1950 animated film, nor have they been depicted in previous adaptations. SMH. I will post the reviews on here and on IMDB soon.

The running time is 105 minutes. I timed the film with the stopwatch on my iPhone. The credits were 8 minutes and a few seconds long. The actual film itself was 97 minutes and a few seconds long. I was actually hoping that they added more footage/dialogue to the film because I saw the running time listed on Wikipedia as 112 minutes, but, unfortunately, it appears to be the same version that you saw last week or the week before? It's only 112 minutes because of the Frozen Fever short. Boo...

After having listened to the samples of the score, I really liked it. It was quite cute.
