Disney's Divinity wrote:With as many pops as they released this year, I'm sure there'll be many more besides those that've been announced so far, Prof. Ratigan.

Probably even more since they're nearly done with Frozen and there isn't a new Disney film in 2015 either.
Here's hoping.
DC Fan wrote:If you´re guessing they´ll release them as four (although for Aladdin they skipped him an it was just Genie, Jasmine and Jafar) I´ll say:
-Mulan, Li Shang, Mushu, Cri-Kee
-Mulan, Soldier/Male Mulan, Li Shang, Mushu
-Mulan, Yao, Ling, Chien-Po
Well, Jafar, Jasmine and the Genie were all a part of Series 5, back when they weren't doing waves of specific films. Beauty and the Beast got more than four, counting the original releases of Belle & the Beast. You got Peasant Belle, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts & Chip, Cogsworth. Jungle Book did, too. Counting Baloo & King Louie from Series 5, we also got Mowgli, Shere Khan and Kaa, for a total of 5. (I don't see WHY they didn't just round out the latter wave and include Bagheera, but, whatever.) I think it just depends on the movie. I don't see Mulan getting more than 4, however.
DC Fan wrote:Great figure! But 2 complaints though: 1) the color should have been darker. 2) the feet and tail: would have preferred him SO much better if instead of that he´d be just standing in a mountain. You know, so the lower part was like a cone and then have the rest of him starting with the upper torso. Like he is; but this figure was one of the first to come out so they didn´t know how to handle it and decided to give him feet as every other figure.
I agree with this. It's why I STILL haven't bought Chernabog for myself yet. I'm torn. I WANT all the Disney Villains, but, I'm not crazy about his design ever since realizing that discrepancy. It's just not movie-accurate. I hope they revisit him as a 6-inch figure. He SCREAMS 6-inch, and if they can Marshmallow, an inconsequential side-character from Frozen justice, they damn well better do the devil on Bald Mountain, one of the most striking, menacing and POWERFULLY animated characters in the history of the artform!
DC Fan wrote:This is such a looooooong shot but: do you think we could get a Monstro and Horned King figure some day?
Monstro? No. I'd love it. But, I don't see it happening. For some reason, Pinocchio has never gotten the merchandise craze that the other classics have. I think if we see any more from Pinocchio, they'll be Honest John and Gideon (who would be MUCH easier for Funko to make 'cute' enough to match their aesthetic) and the Blue Fairy, for the same reason. Perhaps Geppeto. And I could definitely see Figaro making it. Again, for the cuteness factor. Stromboli would be a long-shot. The Coachman is never going to happen. Lampwick? Maybe. Pinocchio with Donkey Ears? Surprised it didn't happen all ready, to be honest. As for the Horned King, he's someone I can definitely see Funko doing. They love the Villains, he's a great villain, he'd sell like hot-cakes to obsessed fans like us who are STARVED for Horned King merch, and they've all ready proved they are willing to take risks. (Rocketeer and Sir Hiss, anyone?) But, I think, if the Horned King comes, the only other Black Cauldron character they would do would be Gurgi. Again: cuteness. None of the other Cauldron characters really have those striking designs that just leap off the screen like Horned King and Gurgi do. Except maybe Creeper. But, he's so obscure, even among hardcore Disney fans, that I don't see him having a shot. At all.
Widdi wrote:The Princess and the Frog: Tiana as a Princess, Naveen as a frog and Facilier. Charlotte if there are 4. Probably a Frog Tiana as a Hot Topic exclusive. Maybe a human Naveen too.
This. This is exactly what I feel they'd do. I think there will be four. And MAYBE the Frog Tiana or Louis as an exclusive. But, I don't think HUMAN Naveen has much of a chance, sadly.
Widdi wrote:Tangled: Rapunzel, Flynn and Gothel. Short Hair Rapunzel if there are 4. If not she will likely be an exclusive to somewhere.
While I think you're right on the money with the first three, I think that the wave will almost certainly include Pascal. He's popular, cutesy and can make for EASY variants. And Funko LOVES variants. Yellow Pascal! Green Pascal! Red Pascal! You get the idea. I could see Short-Shaired Rapunzel as a convention or Hot Topic Exclusive, however. Maximus is the only other character who has a shot, considering his popularity. Has Funko ever done a horse? That wasn't a My Little Pony, I mean?
Widdi wrote:Mulan: Mulan, Mulan as Ping and Mushu. Shang if there are 4. Matchmaker outfit Mulan as a Hot Topic exclusive.
I think you're right about Mulan, Mulan as Ping and Mushu, but, I think they'll go with Shan-Yu over Shang. Shan-Yu is a villain, Funko loves villains. He's got a WAY better design than Shang and would lend himself better to the Funko form. And if they did an exclusive, I would go with 'Reflection' scene Mulan, with half her paint wiped off. I don't think Shang has a chance. How many times now has Funko skipped over the ICONIC Disney men? Snow White's Prince, Prince Charming, Philip, Eric, ALADDIN. Funko doesn't seem to care for the boys, unfortunately.
Widdi wrote:Really Hoping Aurora comes with some other new Sleeping Beauty Pops. The good fairies and a 6'' Dragon Maleficent are so needed. Wouldn't sneeze at a Prince Philip pop either. Hoping for a "Make it Blue!" exclusive Aurora somewhere.
We desperately need the Fairies. Maybe as 'mini' Pops, released in a three-pack? 6-inch Dragon Maleficent is a no-brainer. She's the most viable Villain in the pantheon, her Dragon form is almost just as iconic as her regular form. It's bound to happen sooner or later. Philip is the only I'm worried about not seeing. But, they NEED him to round out the cast (just like they need Bagheera and Gaston to round out the casts of Jungle Book and BatB!)
