The CE has been sold out for at least a week now. Glad I got mine on the way.
Some have been getting theirs early actually. First come, first served.
Disney Studios is also holding a major release event on the lot, with confiration of a never-before-seen trailer to debut there.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
Got mine today, just the limited edition with the pin. Cute little pin, but I would've much preferred another artbook case like with the first one. I literally bought my PS3 for these two games, and it's annoying that the only two games I have don't even match

Really loving the HD version of Kingdom Hearts II. It's such a great game that brings back so many memories while I'm playing it, I can't believe it's almost ten years old! I'm also really looking forward to playing Birth By Sleep and watching the Coded scenes. I'll be honest, I gave up on handhelds after Chain of Memories and (especially) 358/2 Days. While I would rank the two main games as some of my all-time favorites, CoM and Days were just chores to play through. Even Re:CoM, while being a little bit better than its Game Boy counterpart, was still not much fun to play. Loved the story in Days, but the gameplay was just so awful. I'm glad they included the scenes for the I.5 mix. So my point is, I've never played BBS or Coded and I'm looking forward to finally experience the stories of those.
I'm hoping that Dream Drop Distance will get a console version too, either as a standalone title on PS3 or 4 or included with Kingdom Hearts III.
Also, did anyone else see that they've got the soundtracks to the HD ReMIXes available for sale? https://music.na.square-enix.com/
I'm so tempted to get the set of two, but for almost $90 (including shipping), it's a bit steep. If this were a different time of year I'd be more likely to buy it, but I've already spent so much money on lots of movies and shows that have been coming out, presents for people, and other stuff I've had pre-ordered that's coming out this time of year

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
Unfortunately, I probably won't get to play this for a while. I only ordered it last night and it said something about "usually ships in 3 to 5 weeks."
Must be due to holiday shopping.
Oh, well. But I'm glad that the limited edition doesn't look like the 1.5 remix's box. I had been kicking myself that I didn't get it because now the regular version wouldn't look the same as my 1.5. But since it didn't look the same anyway, I didn't miss anything.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
I bought the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 soundtracks from amazon.jp, they are available as a collector's edition and as separate releases. I think you will find that importing one of the CD sets (7 disc collector's edition, 3 and 4 disc separate editions) is cheaper than buying them from either the American or the European Square Enix online stores, even considering having to pay for shipping and customs/import fees.
I love the new versions of the music on these soundtracks! One can clearly hear the difference from previous soundtrack releases. If you like the Kingdom Hearts music, you should really go for it and get these soundtracks. (The songs are in Japanese though, so if you like them in English you can get them on Utada Hikarus latest English CD release.)
Just finished playing/watching KH 1.5 ReMIX, and my love for Kingdom Hearts have been "restored". There have been to long since Kingdom Hearts II got released, and while I have bought and tried to play most of the handhole games since then, I never finished any of them. The story were my main interest, not the gameplay. I prefer console gaming on my television and therefore hope that Square Enix will focus more on releasing more main games for the TV consoles from now on. It was really interesting though to play Re: Chain of Memories and to see 358/2 Days. I find the KH games to be really emotional and melancholic, and I like the relationship between Roxas and Axel. Fun (and a bit moving as well) to finally get to see the story of the 358/2 Days game.
Bought the collector's edition as well as the limited edition of KH 2.5 ReMIX and I am eager to start playing. I worry about what I will do when I am finish playing the collection though... I have waited for this release for the last year now, and I fear that KH III might stil be a few years away... I also hope that they will release Dream Drop Distance, and that they will eventually release all the ReMIXes on the PS4 (as digital releases only if not more).

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
Thankfully, my order was updated and will be late in this coming week.
I can't wait to hear the music for KH2! The new versions for the original KH were amazing, so I can't wait to hear them here, too. There are a lot of video game soundtracks I would love to buy, but I just think they're priced out of reason. The only one I have is the original game's soundtrack (plus FFIX and X).
I have to admit, I was really disappointed in KH2 when it was first released. I'm hoping the addition of higher difficulty plus new scenes interspersed will help me enjoy the game more.

The set of both 1.5 and 2.5 soundtracks are on "wait list" now on the official site D: I wish I knew they'd be limited, I would've probably ordered them quicker.
They're still available separately, but it'll cost an extra $10 going that way.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
I watched the Re:Coded film and I'm just about to start Port Royal 1st visit on Critical Mode.
The music is fantastic. Roxas' theme in particular was so much more beautiful to me. I'm also enjoying the new additions--the puzzles, the new scenes, the mushrooms, and the silouhettes.

That's odd. I wouldn't think the soundtracks would be limited. I hope they'll end up filling their stock so you get the combo set.rexcrk wrote:The set of both 1.5 and 2.5 soundtracks are on "wait list" now on the official site D: I wish I knew they'd be limited, I would've probably ordered them quicker.

Anyone know if the Atlantica songs are included in the U.S. release of the soundtracks?

Amazon.jp still sell the limited collector's edition of the soundtracks (but only 3 copies left, so hurry up!):
http://www.amazon.co.jp/KINGDOM-HEARTS- ... dom+hearts
They also sell the non-limited versions of the soundtracks:

I'm really loving the final mix version of Kingdom Hearts II. It's amazing after almost ten years of playing it once a year to play this game again and see new scenes, modes, extras, etc.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
Well, I finally beat Data Xemnas this morning (and beat Lingering Will last night). I decided it was better to focus on the difficult data battles first, so also got Xigbar this morning. I had Xaldin to his last bar of health before I died (ran out of items, MP, drive gauge, and Donald was dead, so...). I don't mind that they're harder, I just wish their HP weren't so huge. I'm dreading Marluxia right now.
I'm on Critical Mode, btw. I want the longer secret video in my theater mode so I never have to do this again.

What are requiered to get the secret ending on Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix? Is it possible to get in after playing beginner mode, or do you have to play standard or critical mode? (And what about Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories and Birth By Sleep Final Mix, any secret endings there?)

BbSFM and KHFM have secret endings along with KHIIFM, too, but I don't know their requirements off-hand. Here's two links I Googled that might help: hereand here.
I definitely won't be playing BbS on Critical.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
Utada Hikaru Released her Anniversary Album earlier this month in Japan. In it contains the song Sanctuary from Kingdom Hearts 2 peformed by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis featuring Peabo Bryson.
As everyone knows, Bryson sang many Disney songs from the 90's such as Beauty and The Beast and A Whole New World from Aladdin. However it only came out in Japan.
But never fear, I found it in full on youtube. The song is put to a scene from X-Men Days of Future Past in X-Ray Vision?

The 1.5 and 2.5 soundtrack set is back in stock on the Square Enix website!
I'm a little annoyed that they didn't email me saying it was in stock but oh well lol it doesn't matter. I went ahead and ordered it for myself.

Re: Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Announced at D23 Japan
It's a nice set, but there are few things I was a little disappointed about.
For one thing, it doesn't include all the music from all the games. It's just the remastered tracks from the two main games with bonus tracks from the other games. Not that I'm unhappy that it has all the remastered tracks because they're awesome, but I was expecting *everything* lol.
But the biggest problem I have is that very little effort was made to Americanize the set. It has the track list in English, but all the liner notes from Yoko Shimomura weren't translated.
And all of the songs are the Japanese versions. It's not that I dislike them... I just don't speak Japanese
