The visuals and heart of the story are getting praised the most. The 8 negative reviews mostly say it's weaker than other recent Disney films and feels forced and by the numbers. I can't wait to see it!
Once again? Disney aren't tired of doing post-credit scenes? Haha.blackcauldron85 wrote: Remember to stay until after the credits!!
Yeah, Pocahontas was a huge disappointmentDisneyFan09 wrote:Once again? Disney aren't tired of doing post-credit scenes? Haha.blackcauldron85 wrote: Remember to stay until after the credits!!
Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie.
I see that some reviewers are comparing this movie to "Frozen". Well, I guess it's inevitable, since "Frozen" became such an phenomenon. While some people may fear it will be the "Pocahontas"-downfall all over again, I guess "Big Hero 6" will be a more solid and less challenging film than "Pocahontas" (although I personally love the latter movie). And "Pocahontas" wasn't a flop at all, although it didn't break the records "The Lion King" had.
I see some reviewers are comparing "Frozen" to "BH6" in terms of it's quality, which is also inevitable. But I wouldn't mind if "BH6" was better than "Frozen". "Frozen" got mostly rave reviews and I thought the movie was far from Disney's finest (for reasons that I've already mentioned several times).
It just jumped up to 89%, which is the same score that "Frozen" ended up with. Still, that continues the streak of 7 films in a row for Disney, to score above 80% on RT.Lady Cluck wrote:87% on Rotten Tomatoes with 62 reviews counted. Not bad![]()

I look forward to seeing it in theaters at some point.
Well, stupid me was so bored at the doctor's yesterday that I decided to go to the review, knowing there's spoilers in the movie and I ruined the movie for metaei wrote:Here is my review!
Sorry, but I disagree about that one. The Incredibles had quite generic character designs and none of them were expanded.Semaj wrote: It does take a lot of tips from The Incredibles, in terms of pushing the character designs..
Not to go off topic but in Pocahontas' defense, I must say that it also opened at #1 to impressive numbers and was critically acclaimed upon its release (though it was often ranked lower than its four predecessors). It's only in hindsight that people "realized" they actually didn't like it at all.jazzflower92 wrote:And it defies being this generation's version of Pocahontas.
