Sicoe, surely I don't need to use a dozen other razz and twisted evil emoticons to make sure you realise I'm joking. Right? :)

In all fairness I do think it's really neat of Luke to re-evaluate films he's already reviewed. It's definitely not an obligatory task, but I think it shows Luke's commitment to this site and his readership.

Agreed. And what I like about him that he does his research as well.

I agree. I'm just defending that guy on Bluray.com, because the other reviewer stated his opinion on the video presentation so well, that a second opinion wasn't so necessary.

For Spanish dub lovers unfortunately this release yet again contains the 2001 redub.
Disney is awesome, and was the biggest part of my childhood.

So I guess the shifted orchestra and voice parts are still present in "The gifts of beauty" and "Once upon a dream reprise"? I really wish they would have fixed this. The voices are about 1 second ahead of the instruments which really disturbs me.

I jus settled on the digital copy since I already own the blu-ray and the picture and audio are the same on the new release as the one I own.

Its pretty sad how cheap the Diamond Editions have gotten since Snow White came out. No shiny covers, one less disc with bonus features (Grand Canyon absent from this release), cheaper plastic case, even a cheaper plastic wrap. even though I bought the Diamond Edition, I'm going to hit up pawn shops and hopefully I'll be able to stumble upon the Platinum Edition release - I do have the DVD Platinum but didn't buy the Platinum Blu-Ray as I didn't have a BR player yet. Looks like Disney is ready to wind down on physical releases. At least we just have two Diamonds to go next year (Dalmatians and Aladdin) and 4 package films (which will probably be released as two-packs) and Black Cauldron, and a new release with Big Hero 6. (oh, and to milk the cash cow, a 3D release of Frozen)

Barbossa, you should check eBay for the Platinum Blu-ray. Ever since the Diamond Edition started rolling earlier this week eBay got flooded with the Platinum Blu-rays which haven't been going for that much.

Looking forward to next year's releases you mentioned but also really hoping for A Goofy Movie release for it's 20th Anniversary.

Really going back and forth on whether of not to purchase this release. The completest in me who has purchased every VHS, DVD, and Blu edition of SB since 1997 really wants a full set of Diamond Edition disc. Also I love the Best Buy exclusive cover which utilizes the laserdisc art. But given that this release generally seems to be a downgrade and the new bonus features are few in number, short in length, and mostly fluff my wallet is telling me to stick with the vastly superior Platinum Edition.

However it looks like the cost of the current combo pack is equal to that of the digital release so why not pick up this new edition for that reason and consider the additional physical copies a bonus?

rotfl I just don't know anymore!!

The exclusive cover from Best Buy is lenticular like the old 3D Combo Pack slipcovers use to be. It's awesome

Also I bought it because it has some new bonus features that the Platinum didn't have. It's the completist in me I suppose.

I bought the diamond edition for the digital copy which is the same price as buying it on iTunes plus the lenticular cover at best buy is amazing and great bonus!

This release is so pathetic... I remember the good old days, when the releases were chock full of bonus features... and were usually better than the previous release. Disney not including all the bonus features of a blu ray released just 6 years ago is such a slap in the face...

I'll probably import eventually but I'll wait for the price to go down. It's about £18 on amazon.co.uk which is too pricey for a barebones release and a film I own multiple times already.
I'll miss out on a slip cover but I'm not consistent with them anyway.

It's definitely not "bare-bones" by any stretch of the imagination. But the original release had such an abundance of bonus material spread over two disc that it's very disappointing for those who were holding out for the assumed-to-be even grander Diamond Edition. I've decided to pick this up for the digital copy while it's still at a discounted price this week. It's certainly a decent buy with a great documentary for those who don't own the film in HD.

True. I was wondering about it myself.
