Monday, September 22 marks the debut of Season Seven of "The Voice" on NBC.
New judges this year include Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani, along with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
I really like this show because of the 'Blind Auditions'. The contestants are judged by their voice and not how they look or dress, or whatever makes them different.
From the previews they have shown on NBC during the first week of football, the show looks to be really good, and the 'new' judges will be a good fit.
Christina Aguilera will join the panel next September for Season Eight along with the return of Usher.
This coming Monday night at 8 pm Eastern/7 pm Central the new season of The Voice begins.

Wasn't the season six discussion basically just you doing recaps? While it may change I didn't really think there was reason for a whole new thread for this when the other could have just been retitled.

It's amazing that you don't understand the word "discussion". If other people would comment on the past show then there wouldn't be anything but my recaps.
If you won't watch The Voice, then don't discuss anything. I was hoping to get this season off to a better start, since "Dancing With The Stars" has such a lame cast this year. I usually record DWTS, but I won't even bother this season.

Re: "The Voice" Season Seven official discussion..........
The first week of the 'blind' auditions is finished and it looks like Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams are going to fit in just fine. The banter between the four coaches was, at times, hilarious, and other times it was 'face-palm-time'.
So it's on to next week as the coaches try to fill up their 12-artist teams, and then begins the fun, with the Knockout Rounds.

Re: "The Voice" Season Seven official discussion..........
The second week of Blind Auditions is now history and the coaches are filling up their teams quickly. Pharrell and Blake each have ten with Gwen Stefani having nine and Adam Levine has eight members of their respective teams.
Those who think the Dancing With The Stars is any good this season are blind to the 'second rate' contestants and pro dancers that they have this season. Here in Kansas a Nielsen poll shows that DWTS has been beaten by over 20 points by The Voice, so far.
Next Monday the coaches will fill their teams and Tuesday will be a recap of how they all got their artists. And then comes the "knock-out" round and each coach will be able to steal two artists that are cut during these rounds.
With this show leading into "The Black List" each Monday night, it is easy to see why NBC is doing so well in the ratings.

Tonight (Tuesday) begins the Battle Rounds for all four coaches 12-artist teams. There are some really good singers this year and it is going to be close to see who has the strongest team.
With people like Alicia Keys and Little Big Town helping the coaches with their decisions this is going to be a really hard time for some of the artists.
8 pm Eastern/7 Central time tonight on NBC.

Re: "The Voice" Season Seven official discussion..........
NBC's announcement yesterday that Christina Aguilera will replace Gwen Stefani on the Coach's Row for Season Eight came as a shock to a lot of people. Why can't NBC just buy 'Miss Boobs-a-Lot's' contract out and keep the same four judges for more than a season?
When "The Voice" first aired they kept Christina and CeeLo around for three consecutive seasons before making the change, and it was for the better in my opinion. Usher and Shakira were fantastic, and the chemistry between them and Adam Levine and Blake Shelton was amazing. Now we have Gwen and Pharrell Williams, who is fantastic by the way, coaching their respective teams and the chemistry between the four coaches is great and can be told my the ratings.
We are in the middle of the Battle Rounds for this season, and it has been a tough road for each of the coaches, so far. Each one is playing it pretty tight and there have only been three "steals" so far, and we still have another week to go before the "knockout" rounds start.
"The Voice" this season has had some really good talent, and should be one of the best seasons ever when all is said and done.
How many of you are watching this great show as it happens? I know there are some of you who think Dancing With the Stars is better, but that just shows how much you don't like singing contests. Besides this year's DWTS has a lower than B-rated dance line-up of stars, Michael Waltrip, come on give me a break.

Re: "The Voice" Season Seven official discussion..........
The "Knockout" rounds will finish up next Monday, Nov. 3, on The Voice, and then on Tuesday there will be a recap show of all that has gone on to lead up to the "Live" shows, which start on Nov. 20.
Something I am puzzled about - why all the hatred for Taylor Swift? When she was announced as the 'solo' coaching aide for each teams members, the FB pages lit up like Christmas with things like "I won't watch these shows", or "I'll never watch The Voice again" etc.
Taylor Swift is a talent to be reckoned with. She has come a long way in her few short years on the country charts, and she knows what she is talking about when she tells the contestants what they need to do to continue on through the battle rounds to get to the live shows.
Personally I think that she is very good at what she does. And her philanthropic work she does is very good for those she looks out for. She supports a Children's Pediatric wing of hospital in Texas, and has several causes that she 'champions' (donates). There are a lot of stars out there who don't do the things she does, and I think that is what makes her a better person.
Back to the topic at hand. The Voice has four coaches that, this season, have really made the show a strong one. Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani have been great additions to the coaches panel, along with Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. They have a chemistry that has been un-matched by any other set of panelists and I, personally, wish that they would forget about bringing Christina Aguilera back and keep these four around for another season or two. It has been announced that Pharrell will be back next season, January 2015, along with the return of Miss Aguilera.

Re: "The Voice" Season Seven official discussion..........
Since it seems like I am the only one who is watching the most successful season ever of "The Voice" on NBC, just thought everyone should know that the "Live" shows start next Monday, November 10th.
In my opinion, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani have come to win this season't competition. Both have very strong teams and some real favorites of our family. Adam and Blake are stocked pretty good, but I truly think that Pharrell or Gwen will walk away winners this season.
Season Eight is just around the corner, and the big wigs at NBC are trying to figure a way to avoid having Christina Aguilera back on the coaching staff. She doesn't bring anything but her 'boobs' to the show and Pharrell is already signed for Season Eight. Words, rumors mostly, have it that the NBC execs want to buy out Aguilera's contract so they can continue rotating the middle chairs to better judges. Shakira and Usher had a great chemistry with Adam and Blake, and currently Gwen and Pharrell are showing that same type of chemistry.
Having Taylor Swift co-coaching with all four coaches for the 'Knock Out' rounds turned out to be really smart for all four coaches.
This coming Monday (Nov. 10), Tuesday and Wednesday will show off the five-artist teams for the four coaches and America gets to vote for their favorites.
