I'm guessing "the exciting announcement" will be either the Arendelle area in Epcot or the book series.
I don't think the book series is special enough for that kind of announcement but the ride is likely. Holding out for a short on Big Hero 6,disneyprincess11 wrote:Looking forward to it.If anything, it should air on Thanksgiving or November 27th. This seems random.

It was about time. Finally they're giving us a real behind the scenes-feature and not only some lame ones.frankf3 wrote:ABC is airing a TV special about the making of Frozen on September 2
Source: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/abc-f ... 201282018/According to ABC, the one-hour special will document the origins and evolution of “Frozen,” including a look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios and interviews with the creative team behind the blockbuster animated film. Fans will hear from Kristen Bell (the voice of Anna) and Idina Menzel (who voices Elsa) as well as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer and “Frozen” executive producer John Lasseter, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho, and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The program will also feature insights and commentary from art director Mike Giaimo and members of the art direction, animation and effects teams, and show viewers the Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the look of fictional Arendelle.
The special also promises to reveal “exciting announcements about the next chapter of ‘Frozen,'” and a preview of the film’s characters — Anna, Elsa and Kristoff — in their upcoming appearance on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.” The show will end with an exclusive sneak peek at Disney’s next animated film, comedy-adventure “Big Hero 6,” ahead of its Nov. 7, 2014 release.
Now I definitively can't wait for it. Sounds as it's going to be quite elaborative.disneyprincess11 wrote:Sneak peeks of Tuesday's special. Plus, storyboards of the evil Let It Go

Princess And The Frog did get a TV Special. It even had interviews with the late Roy E. Disney.Warm Regards wrote:I'll DVR it, but I can't help but feel, well, sad, that they decided Frozen warranted a TV special but films with rich history like Tangled and Princess and the Frog didn't.
Guess if I made the company a billion dollars, they'd give me a TV special, too.

Lets say WDAS announces that Hallabloo will be their new animated feature for a June release. But then DreamWorks announces they're releasing Shrek 5 that same month. What do you think will happen?2Disney4Ever wrote:I wish we could all focus on making sure that Hullabaloo gets the funding that it needs instead of continuing to talk about this stupid disgrace of a Disney movie that doesn't deserve to be talked about as much as it does.
Come on admit it! You were watching the chipmunk sequel back then! If WDAS was making it right now, it wouldn't be hand-drawn, cause they're too corrupted by CGI at the moment. That's why I'm trying to put my money and support into projects that want to help hand-drawn animation, not in a studio that doesn't have enough respect for hand-drawn anymore to not change Frozen into CGI.DisneyEra wrote:Lets say WDAS announces that Hallabloo will be their new animated feature for a June release.
