I completely forget about the release because I'm not getting it.
I really hope that at least some people bought the soundtrack, as I would hate to see this collection end because of one bad release.

I think I read somewhere that this is just basically a re-release of the 2 disc soundtrack. So to me, only the avid collectors would buy it.

It has 3 discs! With previously unreleased demos and a new collection of "The Lost Chords".

So I just bought the Aladdin and Beauty vinyl LPs.
Overall, the quality of the songs is definitely good! I loved listening to those classics on vinyl.
My complaint, unlike the previous 2, this new release does NOT include the score. Both sides occupy the main songs and reprises. But even Aladdin didn't get the A Whole New World Reprise, which was supposed to be in the score!

So sad... But at least the art is better!

Does anyone know if these Legacy Collection CDs are sold in stores, outside the US? I'm asking because I hope to find Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid in October, when I go to Germany. If I'm not mistaken, Sleeping Beauty also comes out in October, so I might get a chance with that one as well.

Did anyone else pre-order the complete set of Legacy titles with the exclusive lithographs through D23.com and, if so, do you have any idea when they'll start shipping any titles out. I was under the assumption that we'd be mailed the titles as they came out.

I was just thinking while looking at the date, TLM and I share the same age one month a year.

Anyway, I wonder if we'll get the TLM cover on September 1st similar to how we got SB's cover on August 1st? I hope so. I see the main website's been seriously altered though.

No, it's not available. They just launched their redone website yesterday and it looks like there are a few bugs still. I'm guessing if you place the order it will just wait to ship until it's actually released.

Also, on the new site is an open letter to fans explaining what the Music Emporium is all about - and it sounds like they want it to be quite a big project, including more Legacy releases and kickstarter-like stuff. They even ask for ideas and requests for future releases! Go send them an email!

The TLM set is available for pre-order on Amazon already. It says the release date is the 24th though. The cover still hasn't been revealed yet. *sigh* I guess they're waiting until Nov. 1st, but I'm still going to be checking daily for that cover.

I also noticed the price for the SB set is a little lower at $13.88, so I'll probably finally pick that up when I get TLM (for free shipping). MP is still up there though.

Images from the Sleeping Beauty soundtrack are available on the facebook page. They're quite nice.

Also, continuing on with the Hot Topic Vinyl collection.

Series 3 is Nightmare Before Christmas (4 LPs) and Frozen (1 LP).






The Nightmare Before Christmas vinyl is quite the record. The images are beautiful and from the movie. The only complaint I have is that Sally is not on any of the vinyls. That and Jack's lament isn't the image, but that's understandable as another company has used it in the past.

I had to get the Frozen one because I wanted to complete my Hot Topic collection, but it is really bad. The images are not exactly nice, because they are all promotional images, not movie stills. There is a jarring difference between how nice the NBC looks compared to Frozen. The audio quality is also horrendous. I have the Frozen 3 LP soundtrack that came out in March and that sounds so much better. The worst thing I heard on this soundtrack is Edina's belts. They are so static-y and unclear.

Yes, I love it! I'm surprised they went with sunset colors rather than a blue sky, but it's a unique choice. They better have at least one picture of Ursula on the inside, especially since she has a song of her own.

I only wish they'd included the deleted/alternate versions of "Part of That World," "Part of Your World (Reprise)," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," "Fathoms Below," and "Silence Is Golden."
