Cruella still smokes in the BD that was released in Spain.

BTW, how come almost all of the Disney movies have scenes regarding death; either it is the villain´s or another character and that´s ok. However, the feel the need to remove Cruella´s cigarette´s cause they´re bad? :?

I don't think it will be possible to completely remove Cruella's smoking. It is such a huge part of her character, appearing in a very large portion of her scenes. In scenes like, for example her introduction, the cigarette is practically an extension of her arm. Removing it would require massive animation edits or scene removal.

People know Cruella smokes. Anyone who has ever seen the movie in the past could tell you that. The majority of parents should be well aware that the smoking will be shown. I think a simple anti-smoking PSA is more the sufficient.

Thus I am assuming the edits are just for the trailer.

I would seriously doubt the smoking will be removed. Like tlc38tlc38 and Widdi said, it was probably done for the trailer.

Will the 101 Dalmatians diamond edition be the square video in the middle of the screen like that trailer was or take up the whole screen or be widescreen? The platinum edition was a squar and I did not care for it. This is my favorite disney movie so it better be done right

At least seems they´re going to place Aladdin on the spine. At this point it wouldn´t surprise me that Carpet would be feature there.

I'd really like it if the Aladdin Diamond has more footage of the voice actors in the studio recording their lines. I'd be delighted to see more of Robin Williams recording as I know there are hours of it. The extra of Brad Kane and Lea Salonga singing A Whole New World was a fantastic extra on the platinum DVD and I'd like more of the same on the Diamond.

Although I originally liked the reusing of the VHS cover on the UK blu ray, Aladdin and Jasmine are really off model.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

I don't think Disney will EVER be able to top the artwork used on the Black Diamond VHS covers. Those overs appealed to both kids and adults without it looking too kiddie.

I'd love to see more of that in all of Disney's home releases; its so fascinating to see how they perform in the studio and the different takes. Lilo & Stitch had some good voice - recording sessions on the Special Edition DVD. I don't know why Disney don't spotlight the voice actors more than they do come to think of it.

wow the concept art is so much nicer than what we ended up with. I love the detail of the village below in the 2nd one, & their faces dont have that vacant "duh" look so often seen in current promo art...

I'm kind of late to the discussion about Ichabod / Fancy Free, but I wanted to look into a little bit of the Reluctant Dragon feature that was included. Most reviews I've seen, including DVDizzy's own, state that the transfer was pretty good or "the best looking of the set". I quickly checked out the transfer and it probably has as much problems as Sword and the Stone and Christmas Carol unfortunately. In motion the animated segments contain the DVNR, murky edge enhancement, and digitized problems from the releases I mentioned. Maybe I was seeing things with my small 1080p television, but that's what my quick thoughts were just quickly going through it.

I have just learned from a very reliable source who shall remain anonymous for obvious reasons, that Aladdin will be released in North America as a Diamond Edition in October 2015.

Awww good, I'm glad it hasn't been dropped from the line. Though it makes not the slightest difference over here, as the Diamond line has gone anyway.

I do wonder though…..has it been included for release quite soon due to the death of Robin Williams ?

I don't know, but I'd imagine it would have come without or without Mr. William's death. It's time.

It would have happened either way, but I have to imagine they made it higher priority soon after his death.
