http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/04/09/ ... art-reveal
The Legend of Korra made its big debut last year on Nickelodeon and IGN can now reveal details on the Book One DVD and Blu-Ray for the popular follow up series to Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Fans will be able to pick up The Legend of Korra Book One: Air on July 16th, 2013, which collects all twelve episodes of the series so far.

The Legend of Korra will mark the first TV series Nickelodeon has ever released on Blu-ray, and the Blu-ray will contain exclusive special features, including:

Audio Commentaries from series creators, cast and crew for all 12 episodes.
Series creators' Favorite Scenes: Eight Animatics

While there will be select audio commentaries on the DVD, the Blu-ray will be the only release to have commentaries on every single episode. There will also be an additional special feature that is available on both the DVD and Blu-ray:

The Legend of Puppetbender Present “The Making of a Legend: The Untold Story” (original short)

“The Making of a Legend: The Untold Story” short features a comical look at the Korra characters, in puppet form, as they're interviewed about their adventures.

*spoilers* Has anyone else read The Search? I just got the Library edition that compiles the 3 parts into one in the mail today and read it earlier. I did find it slightly unsatisfying that Aang/Katara had no real role and the story of what happened to Zuko's mother was a little over-convoluted, but I enjoyed it. I felt when I finished that there must be another 3-parter because this didn't exactly feel like an "ending" to those characters for me (especially where Azula is concerned), and, after checking, there is--The Rift. :!: Of course, the Library edition of the 3 parts probably won't be released until next February... (I don't buy the individual releases.)

Did anyone else love the Mother of Faces? I especially loved finding out she is Koh the Face-Stealer's mother, and that he steals faces because he misses her. I love their mythology. I also liked how the characters have slowly aged--Aang looked kind of handsome in this book. :P I really wish they would have just made another series with Aang and co. Korra just doesn't compare for me. :(

Well, that…sucks. But I guess I can't get too upset considering I haven't watched since the first season. I just find this show hard to watch and I never warmed to the characters, but I do plan to buy the series after the final season is released and watch it all in one go. I hate that this show didn't do better though because I would’ve liked more Avatar series in the future.

The reason it didn't do well this time is because it was suppose to debut in the fall, but instead it only had 2 weeks before announcing plans changed to air in the summer. They only gave a two week freaking notice to say hey it's coming. Horrible decision on Nickelodeon's Part Also the creators say there is indeed a book four in the works but who knows what's going to happen. The creator also said more will be revealed at Comic con. This season was turning up to be a great one. In Book 2 it gets so much better and so far in Book 3 is amazing.

At least the final 5 episodes of Season 3 will air online
