‘Sofia the First: The Enchanted Feast’ with Snow White on DVD August 5

Image

In the episode, the wicked fairy, Miss Nettle (voiced by guest star Megan Mullally), disguises herself as a powerful sorceress and attempts to steal Sofia’s magical amulet. With the help of Snow White, Sofia must learn to trust her instincts and speak up when she suspects someone is not who or what they say they are. It features an original song titled ‘All You Desire’ as performed by Sascha the sorceress.

In addition to the episode, the DVD will include four additional episodes from the popular animated Disney Junior television series as well as a bonus ‘enchanted mirror.’

Additional Episodes: "The Buttercups," "Tea For Too Many," "The Great Aunt-Venture," "Two Princesses And A Baby"

Episode 6 of the Second Season of "Sofia the First" will air on May 30. I knew I should have written it down, but I don't have the title of it in front of me.

This second season is movin right along. I love the new opening, and my six-year-old grand daughter can't get enough of the new episodes. She especially likes the one with Snow White, and she is looking forward to the new episode next week.

I was at my local Hallmark Store and I picked up their catalouge for their upcoming Christmas ornaments and they're coming out with a Sofia ornament. Looking at it, I can't help but think of "I Belong" from The Princess Test.

Anyone know if Lea Salonga is still the singing voice? I downloaded "Stronger Than You Know" from Amazon last week. It's hard to tell if it's her or not. I think it is, but to me she sounds different in "A Whole New World" than she does in "Reflection" anyway so I can't tell just by listening.

Anika and Mandy are also confirmed:
Among the highlights of the season: appearances by familiar Disney Princesses: Mulan (Ming-Na Wen), Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) and Rapunzel (Mandy Moore). Additional guests include Alyson Hannigan, Ginnifer Goodwin, Isla Fisher, Sean Astin, Nick Offerman, Tracey Ullman and Phylicia Rashad. Actress Katie Von Till is the voice of Snow White in the special April 4 episode ("The Enchanted Feast"). In it, Megan Mullally will return as evil fairy Miss Nettle.

I'm curious if Lea Salonga did Mulan's singing voice. She sang for Jasmine last year, so I suppose she sang for Mulan, too.

I think its just a question of age I think; you can tell its her, but its just unfortunate that as the Princess don't age 'but a day', the voice actresses age slightly faster !

Yay for all the returning Princesses !! And huge yay for Mandy Moore, really excited to see Rapunzel in action again. And her translation will be even better I'd imagine as she's already CGI, obviously.

Does anyone know what episode is after King for a Day? It's not Princesses to the Rescue because that one doesn't air until August. DJ is doing their PiratePrincess summer again. This means we're probably getting at least two or three new episodes of Sofia in July and at least two in August! I'm excited that we'll be able to watch them in advance by a week on watchdisneyjunior.com I just hope they actually put them up this time. I love, love, LOVE stronger Than You Know! It's so awesome and the message is a fantastic one!

We always watch Disney Jr. On Demand when we know there is new episode coming. They are posted about one week before the actual schedule date and you can watch a lot of the other episodes if you want, and it is all free!!!

As far as people giving negative reviews because the voices aren't the same as the movie voices, should realize that these shows, as I have said many times before, are for pre-school to third grade girls and all have a very good moral to their stories. Watching as a family is encouraged, and whining about how the character looks is just truly a waste of time, as far as I am concerned.

My granddaughter wouldn't know the real voices from the ones that are on the show.

King for a Day was awesome! I love that James let Sofia help him with his royal responsibilities. I also love that he called her Sof twice! The song was catchy as well! It's called Be Your Own King and it's sung by Sofia/James! I've watched the episode twice so far! It's available on watchdisneyjunior.com! Also, a strange mystery. The song Stronger Than You Know isn't on Amazon to buy anymore. I found that weird. I bought it off there and I love it! I'm not sure why they took it down. I hope they release Be Your Own King and Just Me and My Mom on ITunes soon. Maybe they're waiting until they release a new CD. I can't wait for When You Wish Upon a Well!

Ooooooo yay for the Mulan goodness !

But I don't think Disney can be any more obvious in their lack of love for Mulan though … all the other main Princesses get their ball gowns etc, but she has to be in her warrior outfit ?! I'm not complaining of the fact she's in it, as I personally prefer that, but its quite telling on Disney's behalf I think. Personally, I'd love to have seen Belle & Ariel etc in their 'casual' outfits for once !

I don't agree with you. I think it's good that Mulan is not showing up in a Princess gown, since that is not who she really is.
I hate the image of her with the make up and the glitter and the dresses, because she is a warrior and I am happy that this is the way they choose to portray her in Sofia.

I think it's "brave" for Disney to not put her in a dress for once. Really had not expected that.

Edit: I'm happy she's not like this :D

WillytheDino, I'm sorry I think you may have misunderstood me; I said I was glad she wasn't in her Princess - style gown ! I just said it is very obvious that Disney aren't pegging her in the same lot as the other Princesses - almost making her seem less of a one I suppose ? Or the fact they're including her at all should mean something too I guess.

So anyway, sorry but I didn't mean at all that I wanted her to be in her Princess gown, just kind of odd that Disney hasn't.

Mulan looks actually pretty good in the CGI version.
