I apologize disneyphilip. I didn't mean to be critical on the look Goofy. So I deleted that to make it better.disneyphilip wrote:(takes chill pill) Ah. Better.thedisneyspirit wrote:Disneyphilip go take a chill pill.
As for more Daisy/less Minnie, I doubt it. The series is called "Mickey Mouse", so the secondary characters that appear in it are mostly related to Mickey- his girlfriend, best friend, rival, and pet. In comparison Daisy is nothing to Mickey in this universe.
Anywho, I agree. I, too, would like to see more of Daisy in the new season as well as more of Pluto. And I disagree with asking for less of Minnie. As far as I'm concerned, let her continue to make lots of appearances.
However, I do think that Goofy should be given a break and not appear in new episodes for a while, since they used him quite a lot in the first season. Let the other characters take the spotlight for a change.

Don't you mean best friends? Mickey has at least two, Donald and Goofy. Which one is it?thedisneyspirit wrote:The series is called "Mickey Mouse", so the secondary characters that appear in it are mostly related to Mickey- his girlfriend, best friend, rival, and pet. Well, in fairness, Goofy did not appear in "Croissant de Triomphe", "Yodelberg", "Tokyo Go", "Gasp!", "Panda-monium", "O Sole Minnie" and "The Adorable Couple" (okay, he did appear in that one, but only in a cameo, so that really shouldn't count).disneyphilip wrote:However, I do think that Goofy should be given a break and not appear in new episodes for a while, since they used him quite a lot in the first season. Okay, Mickey Mouse in Fire Escape was finally on last week. Now the next episode will be called Eau de Minnie. This will be centered on Minnie Mouse. And Mickey Mouse will be a cameo. It'll be on air on May 23. I don't know what time yet.

That's an awful lot of cartoons back-to-back with Minnie and almost no one else, besides Mickey. Only now do I realize why, albeit for no apparent reason: Disney had announced the second season to have Minnie-centered episodes, as Eau de Minnie is rumored to be. Mickey might make a cameo appearance here.TsWade2 wrote:Here's a preview of upcoming Mickey Mouse cartoon called O Futebol Clássico coming next month in June 6.

The upcoming one in Brazil is a good break from Minnie, but it still features none of the other main characters besides Mickey. Yes, there is Joe Carioca, but he's just a minor character, and I doubt he will appear again beyond this cartoon.

Someone should re0title this thread. It is no longer 2013 and there have been some new Mickey Mouse shorts on Disney Channel this year, which is 2014.

Look, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you need to try not get yourself down. I'm happy on what they're doing. You're right about one thing, that this will be Jose Carioca's only appearance, but it doesn't really matter. As long as Disney doesn't forget about those classic characters, then it's cool.Big Disney Fan wrote:That's an awful lot of cartoons back-to-back with Minnie and almost no one else, besides Mickey. I agree, someone needs to remove 2013 since this 2014. I know, it started last year, but still I think the year needs to be remove.

Re: New Mickey Mouse Shorts Coming in 2013
Well, at least with the first season or so, they had mix of Donald and Goofy in there (especially Goofy), as well as Minnie, and Mickey by himself. But so far this second season, the only other one who has appeared besides Minnie was Goofy, in "Fire Escape", but I think that was just a cameo appearance. I wouldn't really know, because I had never seen it before.TsWade2 wrote:Look, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you need to try not get yourself down. I'm happy on what they're doing. I hope there are more appearances by others of the cast before this second season is over, especially Pluto. I think Pluto's sole appearance in the series, as part of "Dog Show", was thrown in as an afterthought. And more of Pete would be a good thing, too.
Re: New Mickey Mouse Shorts Coming in 2013
If you noticed, today's animators don't seem to take much inspiration from Pluto. In the last few Mickey projects, except for Mickey MouseWorks/House of Mouse and Mickey Playhouse, Pluto hardly appears at all.Big Disney Fan wrote:I hope there are more appearances by others of the cast before this second season is over, especially Pluto. For me, this is a good thing, seeing as how in the Golden Age shorts, Pluto became a frequent surrogate for Mickey when animators ran out of ideas for the latter, so much so that Mickey folded into the Pluto series by the late 1940s.

I thought that MouseWorks, House of Mouse and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse were Mickey projects. The only other Mickey projects I can think of at this time are the Epic Mickey games and Get a Horse. What other ones were you referring to? Or were they it?Semaj wrote:If you noticed, today's animators don't seem to take much inspiration from Pluto. Personally, I would have tried to fold Pluto into at least one or two of the other cartoons in this current series, like, say, that one with the goldfish that is eaten by the cat. Pluto could've tried to scare it off early on, for example. Or Pluto could also have been in that one with Goofy as a zombie. Altogether, that would have been three appearances, which would have been tied to Daisy's current three. For me, this is a good thing, seeing as how in the Golden Age shorts, Pluto became a frequent surrogate for Mickey when animators ran out of ideas for the latter, so much so that Mickey folded into the Pluto series by the late 1940s.

Pluto was absent from Mickey's Christmas Carol for some unknown reason. He had a very minor role in both The Principal and the Pauper and Runaway Brain.Big Disney Fan wrote:I thought that MouseWorks, House of Mouse and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse were Mickey projects. I did not think about those because they had been out for a long time now. And I think you mean "The Prince and the Pauper".Semaj wrote:Pluto was absent from Mickey's Christmas Carol for some unknown reason. He had a very minor role in both The Principal and the Pauper and Runaway Brain.

Re: New Mickey Mouse Shorts
I personally don't like these shorts because I am not a fan of the Flash style animation that makes up most 2D animation on TV today. The kind of Mickey shorts I want to see are ones in the kind of traditional hand-drawn quality of shorts like The Prince and the Pauper and Runaway Brain. Or maybe if it was like Disney television animation in the 90's, which I think was really good.

My thoughts on Eau De Minnie
Well, someone in the crew has taken a trip to ToonTown.
Also, I just got this joke; when Minnie is trying out one of her outfits, she tries her pink outfit she wears in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and then she says "Too young." OMG! The best!
