I get the impression that the general public dislike the concept of teaser trailers.

Which is understandable, teasing is rather mean by nature :P

DreamWorks Animation's Home & The Penguins of Madagascar have switched release dates! The Penguins of Madagascar will be released on November 26, 2014, while Home will be out on March 27, 2015. Of course this happened cause of the failure of this spring's Peabody & Sherman: their 3rd original flop in the last 2 years that cost them a $57million write down a month ago. I had a feeling that DreamWorks was not very optimistic about releasing Home during the Thanksgiving holiday season. Much safer releasing another sequel. So BH6 major completion this November will be a Madagascar spin-off :P

I really didn't mean to offend anyone when I said that I don't think Hiro looks particularly Asian. So apologies if I did. The picture wasn't the best angle to actually tell. My opinion is of course, open to change when I see more.

However the teaser trailer is looking good. Can't wait to see it in whole and in better quality.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

1. All I can say that the BH6 teaser looks infinitely better than Frozen's. At least, it gives out a hint of the plot and the two leads. Frozen was inrevelant in every way!

2. Wow, that Dreamworks switch up is so random! I hope they can finish Penguins on time.

Oh and an interesting comment I found on the link:
I’m an insider and HOME is an absolute disaster, but has such big name voices, don’t think they can kill it like Invisible Me.

How many Madagascar films have there been? That is a franchise that won't die just like the 'ice age' films. bleugh
Katzenberg sure loves his franchises.

Looking at the teaser for the teaser(what a stupid concept btw -.- ), the animation will be top-notch :) imo Disney is again the frontrunner looking at esthetics of animation

Actually, I think it's us, the fans, that don't like these "teaser" trailers, since we've been waiting for these films to come to fruition for years. We want to get a glimpse at what the actual film looks like!

As far as the general public, they don't even know most of these movies exist until the teaser comes out, so they could care less. If anything, that Frozen teaser that we all hated last summer seemed to be recieved very well by general audiences, as far as I could tell.

I don't think anyone was offended. No worries. Actually, after seeing him in motion in the "teaser of the teaser," he doesn't look Asian to me... Lol.

The animation does look nice though!

The 1st Madagascar film was released in late May 2005, 5 months before Disney released Chicken Little.

I like the teaser poster. Much better than any of the horrendous ones we got for Frozen, that's for sure.

Maybe it's because I can read Japanese, but I've never been a fan of the "looks like Asian text" fonts though. It just looks tacky to me, and I'd say it's actually quite un-Japanese. If this had some cleaner font, it would be near perfect.

From Digital Spy: http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/news/a ... 9M9pjf8I8C

Freddie Highmore, Samuel L Jackson, Josh Hutcherson, TJ Miller, Jamie Chung and Maya Rudolph will feature on the voice cast.

Can anyone confirm this?

I think there are things going on with Hiro's design that I might like once we see the final product, who knows. Right now it's underwhelming though. Something about the hands are unappealing. I'm much more excited for this than I was for Frozen around this time. Does this mean the opposite of that case will be true and I'll end up hating this? :P

HAHAHAHHAAH

well I have the same hair, eyes, and body proportion as Hiro and I'm Japanese.
true, I'm not really feeling the japanese vibe from him yet, but I'm sure I will once I see more of him.
there are Japanese animators in WDAS so I think we can trust them for that.

Super cute.
I'm actually excited now after months of apathy.

Hiro looks much better in motion.
