Looks like they've done the slipper rightMusical Master wrote:Now THAT is a teaser!

I love how they changed the heart into a butterfly. As much as I love the heart in the original movie, it wud look a little too cheesy in a live action movie i think.

Thats exactly what I meant by a great teaser trailer ! Very well done indeed, can't wait for Duster to see this
The butterfly is a reference to Ella being in nature etc I suppose as well ?
The only thing I'd have liked is to have a little twinkling of 'A Dream Is A Wish', just for nostalgia sake.

So presumably the butterfly will be a symbol in this movie? I read that they represent transformation and spiritual faith - a reference to Cinderella's character.

Wow. I never knew a shoe could make me feel so excited!
It looks magical!
I love how they didn't even need to show a title. We see a glass slipper and instantly know which story it is. It evokes curiosity, especially if you weren't aware of the movie.
I liked the score they used but I think it would have been even more perfect if they incorporated some music from the animated movie. Maybe some notes of 'So this is Love'? By the way, I wonder if they're also going to cover one of the songs from the animated movie, like they did with Maleficent.
I also love the butterfly on the shoe. It actually reminds me of the glass slippers that were designed by Christian Louboutin a couple of years ago (for the Platinum release of the movie I believe). The shape is actually quite similair.

I think the music they used for this teaser is still very romantic sounding and I love the change from the heart to a butterfly on the glass slipper because the butterfly itself represents transformation and faith which fits PERFECTLY for Cinderella's character. Now I want 2015 to hurry up!Atlantica wrote:Thats exactly what I meant by a great teaser trailer ! Very well done indeed, can't wait for Duster to see this![]()

Isn't the butterfly an homage to the heart in the 1950's slipper? Oh, it seems Musical Master thought the same...
Re: New Cinderella Adaptation by Disney
Isn't that the music from Nanny McPhee? I can be wrong, but it sounds wonderful
Although i was expecting to see more footage(nearly got a heart-attack when this emerged on Fb
), I love the tease they're giving us!

I love the teaser and the poster.
But why do we get this now and we still don't know anything about Into The Woods, which comes this year!

I still think we'll see a trailer for 'Into the Woods' before 'Maleficent' is released...
Re: New Cinderella Adaptation by Disney
That is beautiful! Very tastefully done! And the teaser trailer is also lovely.

Re: New Cinderella Adaptation by Disney
WOW WOW WOOOOOOW!!!! THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I couldn’t imagine…! I mean, at first I saw spinning glass and thought maybe it was wine glasses or chandeliers at the ball and we would zoom out to the ball, but then a little later I realized it must be the glas slipper, and it was so beautiful, being all cut to reflect light and look rainbow like that! When the butterfly came in I was like, I bet that butterfly will land on the slipper and replace the heart, oh please let it land there and give what that slipper is missing…and then it did and turned into the most beautiful crystallized detail! And the music was spectacular!
I wanted the heart to be on the shoe because of faithfulness to the original and the fact that the heart represents the love of Cinderella and the Prince that the slipper is involved in, but the butterfly is perfect, too, a symbol of goodness and beauty, and a kind relationship with nature like Cinderella has like Atlantica said, and yes, Warm Regards, I think the butterfly may also be a symbol of transformation and that fits the story perfectly, as well as if it was also a symbol of faith it would fit Disney’s Cinderella who has faith her dreams will come true.
I am so, so excited. This looks so promising. Looks like a wonderful dream come true…!
Thank you so much disneyprincess11 and Old Fish Tale! You’ve made me so happy with all you’ve found! I wondered if there'd be a teaser before Maleficent after that interview with that producer, but I didn't think we would get it!
So the only thing more, I realized way later, that I could have wanted from this trailer, is a magic dust (i.e. Disney dust!) effect on the butterfly becoming gold and glass. I hope they use magic dust in this movie. It was my favorite thing from the animated film. It's why I have my name.
P.S. That guy at CinemaBlend completely missed how great this teaser and poster are and missed that there is more to be excited about than just the great cast and crew, and that is the designs and beauty and magic that this film will have, which the teaser and poster do show.

I hope it's original music and not music taken from another source, but if it's not I still loved it. I almost had a heart attack too!Toky wrote:Isn't that the music from Nanny McPhee? I can be wrong, but it sounds wonderful![]()

Oh that's interesting. I wonder why some countries have a title and others don't? Is the slipper somehow less 'iconic' than in the US? It's probably for marketing reasons.Old Fish Tale wrote:The british version of the teaser has the title. Click here to watch it.supertalies wrote:I love how they didn't even need to show a title. While I do understand where the author of that article is coming from ('why not show off the amazing cast?'), the fact that she found the glass slipper sexist made me laugh. Seriously?! It's Cinderella. Obviously they were going to focus on the shoe.

My Mum told me that they symbolize a guardian angel, like a protector or guardian ? Maybe like the Fairy God Mother ? They may symbolize different things depending on where you live.Warm Regards wrote:So presumably the butterfly will be a symbol in this movie?
