Mulan attraction

Maybe take the whole "Reflections of China" attraction at Epcot and give it a Mulan makeover. It will still be a circular screening room, but maybe add some 3-D glasses and add Mulan, Mushu, Crickee, Li Shang, and Shan YU in the show and we got a Mulan themed attraction at Epcot. At Disneyland, put it in Adventureland. Adventureland should expand a little bit. Put the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride and Festival of the Lion King in Adventureland plus this Mulan attraction idea in Disneyland. What do you guys think?

I think the showcases want to keep their attractions "real" and reflective of the country. Even the Gran Fiesta Tour has lovely secenes of the "real" Mexico. Therefore I think a Mulan attraction would be best suited to the Magic Kingdom.

I really think Adventureland in Disneyland is better off without the Magic Carpets. They're a rehash of Dumbo, so there's no need for two of them. And I love the Festival of the Lion King, but it would require a large venue both on and off stage. I haven't been backstage at Disneyland but I don't think they have that kind of space. I would love an expansion of Adventureland, though. It seems like the smallest land to me, and if it was possible to expand it, I'd support it in an instant, especially if it came with a Jungle Book themed something or other.

Disney have a lot of properties that they could utilise and use, most of which they don't bother with, or just plain choose not to use.

You would think they could kill two birds with one stone so to speak and utilise Mulan, as she is both a Princess for the the girls, and a warrior for the boys. Like Merida I suppose, but with more character and appeal.

I HAVE been backstage at Disneyland and Linden is right - not enough room.

Plus Aventureland at Disneyland is almost always congested. The last thing it needs is more attractions.

If Disneyland does want to expand, the logical place would be where Big Thunder Ranch is. There is a lot of room behind it if they want to go under the railroad tracks like they do in Critter Country.

Plus they could remove Chip and Dales Treehouse and punch through into Toontown, perhaps relieving some of the congestion there.

As to the original topic, I like your idea. You could have Mushu narrate with actual scenes from China, kind of like Martin Short does in Canada.

Hahaha . . . fair point, although Mushu is Chinese I was just trying to think of something that would be a little more *entertaining* than what is currently there.

Eddie Murphy / Mushu narrates the 'Art of Animation' in DLRP and is absolutely wonderful in the role. Think he'd be a great addition to a Mulan ride, Chinese or not ! His character is, after all.

Though has he had any involvement with Mushu bar the first film and the DLRP show ? I'm not sure he came for Donkey stuff at Universal Studios etc ….
