As I said in the other thread:

Rapunzel was the first blonde Princess (Let's not count Elionwy) since 1959!   Can people stop saying that "All Princesses are blonde" crap?!

Right now in the line up-

RED HAIR: 2
BLONDE HAIR: 5 (Elsa???)
BRUNETTE: 2 (Counting Rapunzel)
BLACK HAIR: 5 (Moana in 3-4 years will be 6)

So, there are as much black hairs as blonde. If Angelina from Giants is blonde, then yes: Go, complain.

That is NOT the point. It's that they promote the blonde princesses WAY more than the others, and promote the white princesses more in general. Elsa is blonde and Anna is more of a strawberry blonde than a redhead so that's two more for the pile. I don't mind this for the movie though since it made sense for a Scandinavian fairy tale.

But Rapunzel does not count as a brunette  We never see her in that form on any princess merchandise. After Merida, she should be the next to die. Frozen has made Tangled irrelevant anyway

Who cares, all the white CGI princesses would die to make place for the handdrawn women of color. 2D prevails!

I just don't understand what they are doing with Merida in the parks …. I know she has been crowned etc, but in Paris she isn't included on the Princess float nor the Princess meet and greet. BUT, she is featured heavily in window displays / merchandise etc. What is it like for the American parks ?

And Tangled is in no way irrelevant Lady Cluck ! It is just as valued as it ever was. That's like saying Ariel is less relevant to Belle as Beauty was more of a financial success.

Wait so she's not on the Princess floats in Paris? Wow! They actually kept somewhat true to her character!

Merida is not included in the princess unit at Walt Disney World either. She has her own float/unit in Festival Of Fantasy, and she does not meet in Fairytale Hall -- she has her own location.

She still has her own location?! That's lasted a very long time hasn't it? Normally it's just temp isn't it, for as long as the film is new etc?

I know, they are keeping her true to her character by letting her do her own thing, but if they are doing that to such an extreme, why did they bother crowing her at all?

Well, the location originally belonged to Storytime with Belle and the Tremaines, who alternated. (As a 'friend' of Drizella, I can attest to the fact that that was the greatest location ever.) Then Rapunzel moved in. I don't think that was ever meant to be 'temporary' really, as they spent a lot of money on adding an awning, redesign/etc. But then they cut Flynn, and so Rapunzel was able to thrown into the Princess Rooms. And now Merida has it, and probably will for a long time to come. There is NO way they would move Anna and Elsa there -- the line would go all the way onto Main Street.

Well, I would only behead Merida, Rapunzel, and Aurora out of the current group. Rapunzel and Aurora are both redundant now, and Aurora is just a boring bitch in general. And that ugly troll Merida should have never been added in the first place!

GOSH, YOU ARE SO ANGRY! Merida is in the Princess Lineup. Get the heck over it. It's not a big deal. Merida is Disney and ANIMATED (No Lea), thus she's eligible. And hey, she's ugly because a) it's a different art style and b) look at that, a NORMAL-looking princess

And why would they kick out Rapunzel and Aurora? As bland as she is, Aurora is about to have a big following because of Maleficent and how is she a bitch? Ooooooh, she didn't want to go to her castle, so she cried about it. And Rapunzel is a big, popular princess because *gasp* she's from Disney Animation Studios and is as a fairytale princess as the Original 4.

And behead?! SERIOUSLY?! Get help. And grow up. You really have become as bad as TsWade. (Sorry, Tswade if I hurt your feelinga :( )

Even though I'm not sorry about it (right now anyway), I do apologize if I hurt you. *hugs* My family really hurt my feelings last night, so I was taking my anger out on you and I apologize. But, really: Stop being too passive about it. Merida is in the lineup and there's nothing you can do about it. It's really not a big deal. And I expected her to join since day 1.

And even though she's not the best role model nor my favorite Princess, I think she's a good addition because she's an ACTUAL teenager. She defies her princess role and she's her own person and fights with her mom, who wants Merida to be just like her. And hey, that's a teenager! How many of us were not like her?

When she has to marry a random guy, she tries to change her fate. (At first I was really creeped out how she used magic on her mom, but it's a Disney movie :P ) What would you do if the same thing happened to you? Yeah, you'd fight for your freedom. And here's my reedem from her: when she screws big time, she actually does something and unlike Ariel, she really does learn her lesson and how much she and her mom love each other.

BTW: Just wondering: Why do you hate Tangled? IMO, its story is better and cleaner than Frozen. (I only love Frozen more because the cast is made out of some of my favorite Broadway stars)

^praise.

Lady Cluck, If you really don't want to get personal attacks, I recommend you to stop doing it to others.
(not that I'm saying that playing a revenge is a good thing). if you are nice to others, others will be as well.
sure, it may not be easy to express kindness through words, but it's easy if you consider what would others think about what you said and how would they feel. it's very simple.

now let's go back to the main topic shall we.

Those comments are all out of context  Several were in response people expressing sexist views anyway, but go ahead and take their side

Anyways, this isn't about me. It's about MERIDA. I don't think she's a terrible character or role model, though she is an unlikable little bitch for a solid portion of the movie. And she's VERY cliche in many way. But her being Pixar is enough for many people to not want her in this group. And yes she is hideously ugly, but that's partially due to the Pixar aesthetic making her look out of place among REAL Disney characters. Sorry but these are facts.

Whatever the context, those are personal attacks, directly violating forum rules:

As does the use of language
