Amazon.ca pre-orders now up for The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad, though with zero information or cover art. Amazon.com lists the Aug 12 release date, but is not yet available for pre-order.

Yeah...Tarzan & Herc were expected, but Bedknobs & Broomsticks and Ichabod/Toad would seem to be pleasant surprises. With the Canadian pre-order for the Gang's Three Musketeers 10th Anniversary edition August 12 release date...pretty good news for catalog releases. Hope there's more good news soon to come--I need to know when I have to finish out my DMC commitment so I can re-enroll.

Edit: and now the US Musketeers pre-order is up, as well. Hope it's gonna be a busy fall for WDHE.

The 'Disney Villains' special edition collection will be available on Blu-ray and DVD at selected UK stores on June 2, days after Maleficent launches in cinemas on May 28.
Disney Villians collection coming to UK.

If this is true, it means Basil and Black Caudron is coming.
Bummer, I just got Basil.

Damn. I might have to re-buy Hunchback and the Great Mouse Detective for the Frollo/Ratigan covers...

Can´t believe The Black Cauldron is on the list! :o

However, I don´t get why they don´t do it for both Rescuers, Fantasia 2000 and The Sword in the Stone.

Had Disney done that would have meant all the Disney villains.

I think the clip art used on those villain covers are simply horrible. Really tacky - they just look cheap and lazy. And considering what beautiful animation can be found in those movies, it's quite sad really. Will not be buying those movies again just to get those ugly covers.

That's because they are. I was up for getting an Ursula-covered TLM, but no thanks with the hideous, off-model, miscolored characters art from the Diamond.

I take it the release will be just the standard different slipcovers being used over the normal releases ?

How cool if they went all out and redid the whole sleeve etc, and the menu on the blu became 'villain-ised' … how cool would that be ?!

^That is what I thought. I would expect new slipcovers over standard releases. If it happens, it's a huge cop out.
I'm tempted by a Frollo cover and that would be it for me.

I prefer the French villain covers. They looked far better designed.

They're so teeny tiny in the pictures, how can you compare?

There is a bigger picture here of the french villain DVD for Robin Hood and they look very clearly to be a slipcover over a normal edition. Its the same artwork as the 'most wanted' edition underneath.

I like the 'padded room' background. :D I also like that they come with different background colours and not just green. Just makes me think a bit more care has gone into them.

Looks like Spain is getting the same green covers as the UK.

*Finally*--as linked on this site's front page, Amazon US pre-orders are live for all the August 12 titles except Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Ugh at rehashed cover art. Hopefully it gets updated; especially The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and Fun and Fancy Free Set. The complete lack of Fancy Free on the cover is a travesty. This isn't a Hunchback 2 situation.

There's actually two versions.

One is just the Blu Ray Combo Pack of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and there is a separate one that has all three, to which I don't think that cover art has been posted. The Cover Art you see right now is just for the Ichabod and Mr. Toad Blu Ray by itself. I imagine there will be differ art for the 3 movie collection.

Is Fun and Fancy Free not getting a separate release? This is disappointing.

Fun and Fancy Free obviously will get its own single release, but the double pack will come first, then the individual release will come later.
