Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
That's a shame about the ratings, it was one of my favorite episodes this season. Tbh, I think season 3 has been so much better than season 2. I think the show really hurt itself last year, and that's why it's struggling now. I'm sure the show'll be okay for another season or two (or three, who knows) if it can just maintain instead of going down. ABC doesn't really have that many shows these days, so OUAT'll probably live longer because of it.

Disney's Divinity, can you explain that bit of baby-switching you talked about?!
And why hasn't Regina apologized to Snow White by now?!

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
Regina is not the type of person to apologize. She actually managed it with Belle, but I think it's going to be so much more difficult for her to say it to Snow because of how passionate and irrational her hatred of her has been. Tbh, the past few episodes have been the most mature Regina has ever acted. I mean, the simple fact that she could accept why Snow killed Corathis episode is pretty amazing by Regina standards.
As far as the babything, it's just a theory. The only reason I thought that is because they showed Glinda in the same scenes as Aurora, and the fact that Aurora and Snow were/are pregnant at the same time doesn't feel like a coincidence.
Also, from what I've read, they cast the three other witches from the Oz books.

I see your point on Regina. I still await her apology, though.
Thank you. You're theory sounds clever and may be true.
By other three witches from the Oz books, you mean Glinda, the Witch of the East, and the Witch of the North? I loved Glinda's costume (from what little I saw of it).

Here's a better look at Glinda. One thing I noticed was the necklace, which is very similair to Zelena's. Maybe it contains their powers?

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
I haven't read the Oz books (unfortunately--not because I don't have an interest in them, I've just never sat down and done it), but the Witches had necklaces in Oz, the Great and Powerful film, too. Maybe it is something from the books.
@Duster: Yes, I meant Witches of the North and East along with Glinda. (I believe Glinda is made the witch of the North in The Wizard of Oz film, but she's the witch of the South in the books?)
And about Regina being more "normal" than usual--some others on another forum pointed out the irony that this occurs while her heart is outside her body.

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
I actually read the first three Oz books a couple of years ago and I don't remember anything about necklaces so I don't think it's from the books. I do remember it being part of Oz, The Great and Powerful so I'm guessing it may be based on that movie.
Or it's just a regular decorative necklace
Also, Glinda is indeed the Good witch of the south in the books. She was merged with the Good witch of the north for the 1939 movie, so that's why she's Glinda the Good witch of the north in that movie. However, in OuaT she's the witch of the south again, since OuaT follows the books (except for the Wicked witch of the west being green).

I just started the series about two weeks ago and have just begun season 3 as of last night. I'm not gonna read too much of this thread until I'm caught up, but I absolutely love the series and its many good-looking actors and actresses.

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
Just wanted to drop by and say tonight's was a GREAT episode. Loved it. And next week looks to be another great episode.
I especially love that Snow is the one who cast the Curse this time and Regina was the one who broke it. Nice reversals. And, you know, even though I knew there was no way they'd kill Charming off, that whole ordeal was strangely emotional as I was watching. I think the only thing I didn't like, but I knew was coming, was Henry's "You lied to me/You're lying to me!!!" routine. The character is so annoying. Regina/Robin are working better for me than I thought they would. And I'm happy they're making Emma a strong magical force of her own. It's a relief after good magical characters like the Blue Fairy who aren't able to do anything with their powers...
Also, I have to ask what's going to happen to all these characters who were turned into flying monkeys and who may or may not be dead at this point?

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
I really love how OUAT is paying so much respect to all the Oz adaptations.
In the original book, Glinda is the witch of the south, but in the movie she's the witch of the north, so they decided to play around with that and go with the setting that she was abandoned to the north. very clever indeed.
Also, giving Zelena and Glinda a connection is just like how wicked added a background story.
and lastly the jewelry is obviously a nod to Oz the Great and Powerful.

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
Ooh, that would actually be pretty cool. I just don't think enough people know the story of Rose Red and Snow White. However, I would like it if they used more unknown fairytales.Atlantica wrote: As for the name...if it's a girl....Rose Red?
I also think the baby could be Dorothy. I just don't know how baby Dorothy could go back in time?
Also, I loved what they did with Glinda. After Rapunzel I was a little scared how they would use her but I really liked it.
I was also right about the necklace.
I also liked the little reference to Glinda and Zelena's backstory. It seems like next week's episode will show us more (including Dorothy!) and tell us why she was banished from Oz. I'm pretty excited.
I also liked Neal's little cameo. I don't really miss his character but it was still nice to see him.

Question!
"I'm your mother, and I know what's best for you!"
... Emma, you're not Going Gothel, are you?

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)
I loved Glinda! She did a great job! They really cast her well. Felt like a real Good Witch. But when Zelena turned pregnant Aurora into a non-pregnant male flying monkey, if that's what she did, that's really disturbing. Also, did Aurora and Phillip tell Zelena Snow White had arrived? If so, why she did say she "kept her promises" if she then hurt them when she said she wouldn't hurt them if they told her?
