I mean ... no ... how could they ...!
(Still, Santino is darn saxy and I need to hear his voice in an animated movie again.)

Re: Frozen: Part V
Wow, did I luck up or what. I actually bought the album early even when I expected to hate Frozen because it looked to be Tangled 2.0. I was thinking, "Well, it's got Idina Menzel and the Lopezes wrote the music... Let's see if I can just get one good thing out of Disney again." If I'd waited until I loved the film, I'd probably have got the cheap case.ce1ticmoon wrote:I believe it was originally a digipack and the current version is in a standard jewel case. You can probably just chalk it up to the former being a first pressing "limited edition".unprincess wrote:so, I just got the deluxe Fozen ST from Amazon, & I noticed that there seems to be 2 versions of it. There's one that has an embossed cover & the French posters decorate the inside of the package. Mine has no embossing & has a booklet with scenes from the fim. I would have prefered the former, though the one I got is nice too. Anyone know why they are different?

Actors are never to be trusted with this sort of thing, especially in regards to animated films.disneyprincess11 wrote:Wow!According to Santino Fontana in a recent interview, there are plans of REDEEMING Hans in a sequel if it happens!

I think we can trust Santeens. I mean he seems like a honest man. Plus he said plans, plans to redeem him. They may change their minds.estefan wrote: Actors are never to be trusted with this sort of thing, especially in regards to animated films.
I believe that Disney knew that this would get out on the internet, sort of like a test audience sort of thing. I think they know now that there is alot of older fans and teenagers, that would also have younger siblings and even be parents. If they think that it's a terrible idea, then Disney won't carry on with the plans.
I think that they are doing Hans first, so they know whether to kill him off or redeem him, so they know whether or not to create a new Disney villian or not.
Just theory here.

Come on, Disney has done a okay job with redeeming Iago, Cassim, Anastasia, and John Sliver.
I think his name was John Sliver, I have only seen Treasure Planet once, and he tried to kill that kid or something, and then his face was up in the stars ??? Something like that.
If they can turn the Snow Queen cliche, into a beautiful girl like Elsa, they can make a better person out of Hans.
Hans is Mr- I want to kill that girl, but I'll make sure to give her a blanket so she's warm after all.

Re: Frozen: Part V
my earlier "socks" joke was a reference to the Maleficent movie but I guess no one got it.
anyway I can only see a Hans redemption story work if it ends in sacrificial death or heavy physical loss(maybe ala Hiccup) Double murder attempt guys, thats not something you wave away b/c you suddenly join the good guys or realize youve been an evil douche & want to change.
now of course if were talking anime or an adult film or tv show sure I can see it being done, no problem, Ive been a fan of evil character's turned preposterously good myself. I just cant see Disney doing it in a film aimed at soccer moms & their Elsa dress wearing toddlers.

Anastasia, Iago, and John Silver are not attractive, so there goes that logic.thedisneyspirit wrote:Hans is only getting redemption cause he's a boring pretty boy. Now where's my Jafar redemption story???
That being said, the idea of a redemptive arc for Hans is beyond stupid and if that's the direction they're going, the Frozen sequel might end up being as awful as all the DTV sequels Disney is infamous for, that nearly ruined their brandname, and helped to put the knife in hand-drawn animation's viability. Hans shouldn't be in the sequel at all, imo.
And didn't Tom Hanks let slip they were making Toy Story 3 before it was announced? Actors are usually on the mark with what's happening, they just usually forget when things aren't allowed to be said yet. That being said, ideas are always evolving, so anything could be changed at this point.

It'd be the icing on the cake if the sequel ends up with Elsa marrying Hans.

That's the only thing I'm not okay with. Redeem Hans, fine.
But keep away from him falling in love with Elsa or Anna again or a new character.
Realize that you have messed up story ? Fine
Fall in love with the criminal story ? Noooope
Keep Hans x Elsa for fanfiction time.

If Disney goes with that ending all the people who complain about Belle having Stockholm Syndrome will have something new to bitch about.

Re: Frozen: Part V
Just the idea of Elsa marrying the one who tried to kill her, with malicous intent to boot, is stupifying! That's the equivalent of the really, REALLY BAD DTV sequels Disney used to do.thedisneyspirit wrote:thelittleursula wrote: lol yeah

OK, Disney needs to get their story straight. You can't have the chairman of WDS, Alan Horn, and Frozen co-director Chris Buck say that plans for a sequel haven't even been discussed yet and then have Santino Fontana say that the writers are developing ideas for a sequel, and even worse have Disney Brazil confirm that a sequel is in fact underway.
