So we might be getting another Blu-ray version of the film with possible downgrades on the extras and probably the exact same restoration for both video and audio... and no possible 4K Blu-ray release, the format manufactures might make soon?! Great to hear that it'll be available digitally (iTunes, Amazon Instant, etc.) for the first time, but yeah, outside of having this being part of the Diamond Collection, I'm not sure whether to double-dip on the same format, same combo (outside of digital).
Wait, wait... they're doing this for the release of "Maleficent", aren't they? Wise marketing there, Disney.
This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?

I love that art! I love Aurora's famous sleep pose in pink (like the 2003 Special Edition cover), I love her and Phillip being on the bottom, I love Maleficent and her dragon form being on it and being on top at opposite ends filling the left and right space! I love the composition! The only thing it needs is for the castle to be more in the middle and the dragon to be lower, more equal to the height of Maleficent. They probably aren't going to do that, but oh well, it's a great cover! Oh, and they need to fix Phillip's face!

I am baffled by this cover. I like the layout, and Maleficent and the dragon look great. But Aurora and Phillip look pretty bad. SPecially her... she is bordering on deformed, and her had looks weird, and awkwardly places. THey should have zoomed out of them a bit and shown more of their bodies.

I think I disagree. I think the close-up makes them more prominent than Maleficent and the dragon, like they should be. They could be zoomed out a little more and it would look great, but I think it would lose the nice effect it has going as it is. The only thing I think they need is better drawing.

Well, I don't mean they should be smaller in the overall cover. They would take up the same amount of space... Hell, maybe we see a little bit of the SETTING...

But as it is, its kind of the floating head thing disney seems to like to much these days. Plus, if u think about it, the way they are now, it physically impossible... for their face to be that close at that angle, Phillip would have to be laying directly ton top of her (in the film he is not in full profile)

I know you mean they could take up the same space, I just like the effect of them being so up-close. And I don't think Phillip would be on top of her, but he would be in an awkward position. When comparing the cover to the actual film scene it looks like he would just be lower on the side he kneels on. Maybe he would be on top of her, I don't know. So maybe you're right and we do need to see more of there bodies. I just don't want to lose the nice effect of how close-up they are.

Not a fan of the Japanese cover. Fed up of seeing her in a pink dress. I don't like the Aurora/Philip drawing at all.

I repurchased and watched Sleeping Beauty on VHS. This is definitely a film that needs to be seen in Widescreen. Wow at the awfulness of full screen.

I think I'll own this VHS for nostalgia sake rather than for watching. It's the 97 VHS and (my opinion) it's not good. May also be the worst cover art for Sleeping Beauty ever. Before my mass VHS clear out, I owned the original 1986 one but I doubt I'll ever walk into that again.

I know I am going to end up getting this eventually. I just know. I think my boyfriend will officially leave me at that point.

I'm almost positive I'll get it as well. It's my favorite DAC after Snow White. :D

I think this one will be the DVD cover. If that should be the case, I hope they'll get rid of that grey border. It ruins the artwork, IMO.
Also, if they fix Philip's and Aurora's faces and dress, it would be perfect.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes !!!

If we get this cover, it will be truly awesome. Heres hoping it stays and doesn't get mutated into something generic & dull. Also looks confirmed the Diamond line is done now.

I really love that cover! I love how it actually makes the movie look interesting, that way the public will be deceived in to buying it.

Huh ? The film is beautiful, and I don't think anyone needs to be deceived into buying it.

I'm baffled by people who find this movie boring. Yeah, it's slow-paced and Aurora barely has any lines, but that never bothered me. And I absolutely adore its overall dark and understated tone.

I love the UK cover. I guess this will sit on my wishlist for a while until I can justify buying this again.

Did the UK trailer say it is for a limited time again?
