INSOMNIA

Post by Prince Phillip »

Unfortunately I suffer from insomnia, while at times it seems to go a way, it always comes back with a vengense. It has hit me particularly hard tonight. I am dead tired. I am so tired it hurts. My chest is starting to get tight or whatever, and I have a pounding headache and I just can't get to sleep!

Well, I don't mind typing, but I can't type one thing for too long, and I'm to the point where I'm just not putting in the effort to make things bold and italisized. If anyone else is suffering from this feel free to join me in this chat. (Although I kind of feel this should be kept a night chat, well late night/early mourning... However you guys across the ocean can chat too as long as it is late for us...)

It is 2:08 here, now, and some how I've continued to type on this subject...

Well I am about to surf around the forum, to see if there are any other threads I can answer...

I think I've cracked... Did you know, when I was lying down to fall asleep, I thought of MMB'a Avatar and just burst out laughing, and then when I was reading his posts in Platinum fading out I was looking at his response next to the Avatar and I could not stop laughing...

Somebody please help me...

Hey have any of you seen that door mat, that's Like "the cat cay 751.." or something and at the end he's like "I fear I may be going insane" Hold on, let's see if I can quote this whole thing:

"The Cat Day 741:
My captures continue to torment me with (some kinda) toys
The eat lavish meals in my oressence while I am forced to subside on dry cereal
The only pleasure I get is from ocassionally ruining a good piece of furniture
I fear I may be going insane..."

You were thinking of MMB's avatar? You do need help ;)
Try a glass of wine before going to bed.

By the way, you changed yours again since I logged out last night around 11:30 PM?

I had trouble falling asleep last night cause it was so darn hot. A glass of water and half a Boy Meets World rerun later, I was able to fall asleep.

A few weeks ago, I was having trouble sleeping as well, but never to the point of "insomnia." That must be rough, sorry Prince Phillip.

Well, it's not exactlty the "insomnia hour" but since I don't want you guys to think I was ignoring you...

Thanks Luke and Indiana for you're suggestions, unfortunately I don't have any wine in the house  . It is pretty hard.

Well when I got off, for the second time, it was closing in on 4:00am. I watched "Nightmare on Elm st.", which I had rented (yeah that movie makes you want to go to sleep) After all that it was about 5:45 and I don't really remeber what happened after that, I kinda just dozed off and on until 2:00...

NOES is nowhere near as good as F13th was... (Just thought I'd mention that) :)

I've heard (from some people in my church) that picking up and reading the Bible has put insomnia to rest for them. From a minister's standpoint, I was glad to hear they are reading their bible...but this is something I wasn't expecting!!!! :o

I'm sort of a jack of all trades. Yes I am a minister. I work in a non-traditional placement of ministry. Trying to get back into chaplaincy.

It's my turn tonight, I guess.
Although my excuse is that it's storming again.

*sigh* 1:00 AM and I'm W-I-D-E awake :(

Yeah, I'm not really tired tonight, not yet anyway... I think I might watch Insurection later. I LOVE TNG! It started the year I was born you know, and if that isn't interesting enough, the original started the year my mom was born. Ooooooooooooooh spooky  . TNG is the best Star Trek series, it has the heart and originality all the other ones only hope to aspire. Humm... make make a good thread topic, but maybe later when things slow down... :P

It depends on how you define religious minister, but yes I am. I am in the process of being ordained in the church. I preach occassionaly and once I get ordained I can marry people (marry two people together). that is the only thing I can't do at this time.

As for chaplaincy, a chaplain is a minister that is based out of a hospital, hospice, or sometimes a college. It's more of a specialized ministry...it requires more schooling above master's level.

Basically, i am trying to be back into the hospital setting as a minister (hense: chaplain).

Does that help any MMB? Anything still confusing?

I suffered from this last night... didnt sleep more than one hour before 5:00am and I look like something from Return Of The Living Dead this morning. My episode of insomnia lead to some pretty creative compositions but I now feel like I'm paralyzed sitting in this computer chair still browsing the forums. I think I'm going to watch a Disney movie and fall asleep on my couch all day.. if I can make it to the living room without collapsing. :|
