The Little Rascals: Save the Day

Post by Musical Master »

Woah! didn't know this exsisted. This is going to be a DTV movie on Blu-Ray and this movie has Doris Roberts as the Grandma whose bakery is in danger of being shut down due to "the money".

I'm going to be honest, this movie is a bit more in line with Our Gang and a bit better than the god-awful and atrocious 1994 theatrical film, but this won't be great either. A huge fan of Our Gang since Cabin Fever Entertainment released videos in the 90's and I love how in the shorts, that how equal everyone is treated; boys and girls with different races that was quite refreshing in 1930's entertainment. The 94' film was bad on many levels but worse of all is that the plot focused on "The He-Man Woman Haters Club" which contradicts the original intention of the short films (That element was used once in a short) and it ruined any sort of enjoyment. Look I know that some people have good memories of the 94' movie, but as a fan of the original short films, I was largely dissapointed.

The 2014 film, looks like it will try to have some spark of the original shorts, and it seems, from the trailer, it kind of does just that.
