Disney's Divinity wrote:I love that Alice in Wonderland poster! I just like the whole falling-down-the-hole concept behind it. @Duster: I mean, yes, the designs aren't great, but they don't bother me. It reminds me of the stylistic designs you can find on deviantart.com as re-takes of Disney characters.
Well for me I only think the falling down the rabbit hole concept is great for a poster.

The Aladdin one is fantastic.

This is probably high res as you'll get though. They want you to buy them, not print them out yourself.

I've tried doing an automated vector trace a few times (which would give us super high res versions) with mixed results. Some parts look great but the more detailed parts never look quite right.

^I agree. I love the Beauty and the Beast ones, too--especially the shadows on the curtains.

The only ones I like are The Sword in the Stone and the Beauty and the Beast ones. The Sleeping Beauty one and the Fantasia one have interesting concepts but fail in execution. I'm not a big fan of Mondo; I don't care for their use of flat and minimal designs and usually their characters are unintentionally off-model.

Unintentionally? They do it on purpose, to make them their own.

I have to admit, Mondo is hit or miss for me. Sometimes their style doesn't really work out as well as I'd like for them to, but other times they knock it out of the park.

I also have to admit that The Cat From Outer Space is another nice-looking one, surprisingly minimalistic, but appropriately so. Although I haven't seen the film, but the M*A*S*H fan in me does want to in hopes of seeing how Henry Black and Sherman Potter interact. :D

Oh, and this isn't Disney, but this is one of my favorites of theirs.

I'm not referring to their more stylized work but the ones that try to emulate the Disney house style like this one. In any case, even when it's intentional I usually find their interpretation of the characters quite unappealing.

I agree. Especially when it comes to their Disney work.

I think the resolution is a little bit better if you follow this link. Some of Disney's pages on Facebook (for movies like Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty etc) have also posted images of the posters.
