That's a really good Hans outfit.

Doug Walker jumped on the "Frozen/Let It Go is popular so it sucks" bandwagon:

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videol ... -let-it-go

I don't get his bitching/moaning. If he doesn't like it avoid it, easy as that. Besides, it's a little silly for him to act that way. Disney songs have always been popular for covers, it's only that Let It Go is the first song in years from Disney to impact the audiences.

Come on, if there was Youtube and the Internet connection of today back in the 90s, there'd be covers for all the damn songs from the Renassaince and he'd probably shoot himself for it.

And I understand you (and other people on this forum) hate Doug, so no need to reiterate your disdain at his actions.

But I think part of the reason Let It Go is so popular is because ... people are trying to be popular off it. It's now become a competition of sorts to see who has the best singing voice to sing the song, the best original adaption of the song, the best fanart...

Well, okay, it extends to the whole movie. And perhaps it's just a tumblr thing. But lemme tell you, a lot of people outside of tumblr know about Frozen, too.

Actually, I see the most "obsessive" part of Let It Go in Youtube. That's where all the covers lie ahead, and the instrumentals, and so and so.

I can understand why would people obsess over Elsa and her song. She's become an icon of breaking out of your personalities and transforming into a new person, plus she's a pretty white haired girl, and those are always popular with the mainstream media. Most of them.

Otoh, all this huge popularity Frozen is getting makes me wonder how will this affect Big Hero 6..."Oh, it wasn't as good as Frozen!" "It had too many jokes!" "There were no songs!".

Or maybe people will like it even more than Frozen, which would be a surprise.

Some of those lyrics in Doug's parody were pretty spot on and hilarious.

"This is every damn singers crystal meth"

"I don't care if you sing it so well, you're not Idina Menzel"

Thank you, this is pretty much how I feel. I don't mind the covers as I just see it as a way of people expressing their love for a really good song and I actually have three MLP inspired Frozen songs on my Ipod that are really good and enjoyable to listen to. And I totally agree, if YouTube had been around, when Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast or The Lion King came out, there'd be a bajillion covers of those songs on YouTube. Oh wait, they came. Seriously, Let It Go is not the only song to have someone do a cover of it on YouTube. Just look up people like Nick Pitera that does great Disney meldoies covers such as I See The Light, A Whole New World, and Newsies, etc, etc, etc.. The point, I'm trying to make is that let people enjoy the song and if you don't want to hear the covers, ignore them. But to me, it's a celebration of people's love for the film. And that's what I got from the covers, most especially during the GMA Sing-Along. People were enjoying themselves and loved the song. So let them have their song.

It's become my not-so-secret agenda to uncover his secret scandals.

Otoh, it's hilarious some of the comments his minions followers post on that video. "I haven't seen Frozen and never heard the song until now, but I'm sick of Let It Go".

Wait, he did another editoral instead of a Nostalgia Critic review this week? I thought he did one last week.

I know Doug liked Frozen, but I'm not surprised that he's already tired of "Let It Go". He's made it no secret in the past that he prefer Disney's villain songs to most anything else.

The review got pushed back because Doug came down with a cold and it's a musical editorial/parody of Doug complaining about their being so many covers of Let It Go and telling people to move on because the movie is five months old. I don't know, I feel like him singing it to the tune of Let It Go loses the point as he is just putting out another Let It Go parody and yet that is what he is is complaining about with there being so many covers of the song on YouTube and to that I just think, if he doesn't want to hear a cover, don't click on the video. It's that simple.

Wait a minute, has Doug done a review of "Frozen" for Disneycember? Because I have yet to see one for that, or "Wreck-It Ralph" or "Monsters University" for that matter.

No, he didn't do Disneycember for those but he did do Sibling Rivalry reviews of those films with Rob. And he usually doesn't do Disneycembers on films that he's already covered in previous reviews.

" The movie is five months old, move on to something else "

I tried...

It's not just singers crystal meth, the whole movie is crystal meth, which is funny considering it's one of it's main themes is ice, which they nickname crystal meth on the streets.

It really is !

Maybe a carnival was the wrong place to do it ? Wait till a anime or comic con or something.

So Doug Walker is a mass consumer. I guess he'll never understand the appeal of longevity and fandoms. lol He'd moan about this place too because we talk nothing but Disney. XD

Personally, I want the film to stand on it's own. I mean I'm not against the idea of canon sequels but I feel that the story with Frozen like most Disney films is a one and done.

I feel like at this point, Iger is going to force WDAS's hand and demand that a theatrical sequel to Frozen be out within the next 5 years.

I hope no because it doesn't need one and I just don't think the story or songs could be as good as the first film. Just have Elsa and Anna appear on Sofia The First, and everything else that they want to do and if you really want to do more animated work with them, do a TV special but there doesn't need to be a sequel.
