I am actually quite shocked at the amount of bonus features here….! Maybe I'm just starved for extras (which is very true) but this release isn't half bad at all.

No clue why the Mickey short it there, but at least its there I suppose? Very glad the Fairies Short is there as well.

I was wondering about that too; the description for the Read-Along storybook reads: "Readers can follow along with the story as Tinker Bell and her fairy friends go on the adventure of a lifetime to try and save Queen Clarion!"

The film series is as good as saved! The Pirate Fairy is doing extremely well in every territory it has been released in so far. It opened at no. 2 at the box office in Norway while it debuted at no. 1 in Argentina! It's still going strong in the UK and Russia, breaking records and becoming the most successful installment in the series.

Norway:

The Pirate Fairy secured the second place with 19,712 tickets despite the fact that the film was not shown in Oslo.

In all honesty Sotiris, do you think this will save the series? I hope more than anything that it does, but I don't want to get my hopes shattered. I'm aware at how dramatic that sounds, but you know what I mean. Just really love this series.

You do have to wonder at their tactics for this series; there was the biggest push there has ever been for any of the films …. is that to end the series with a bang, or to genuinely gauge the interest and how much of a success it can be?

In answering the 'Quest for the Queen'; you could argue that yes, it was a quest to save the Queen, but also along with every single other fairy in Pixie Hollow. So the link is extremely tenuous. There was no direct conflict with the Queen, she wasn't really involved in the story directly. Revenge wasn't being extracted on the Queen, just Pixie Hollow in general.

Yes! I think Secret of the Wings was very charming. I just don't get all excited to see the Tinkerbell movies, but I think they're all pretty cool and definitely a very huge improvement from earlier DisneyToon features.
