They are different. In iTunes, it looks like this:

In DMA it looks like this:

MMC, have you sent feedback to DMA letting them know you would like the option to choose different cover art? I mentioned that in the feedback I sent, and certainly the more people saying that the better chance it has of happening.

They are giving the Incredibles for free but what about those like me who already own it?
I've sent them an email about it and they replied with a canned message asking me to call them about it....

Guys, what method did you use to contact the DMA support and how long did it take for them to respond?

When I was looking for a way to contact them about my missing "Fantasia" copy, all I could find was the "Contact Us" option under the Settings in the app/website itself. I was worried though, because it seems more like a place to leave suggestions and likes/dislikes more than a place to contact them about a specific technical issue. It doesn't even asks for your details or anything (I just put my email address at the end of my message). Is there a more "proper" way of contacting them by email?

I just hope they are willing to communicate by email, I can't call them as I'm not in the US and they don't know that.

I have contacted them too, because my original "Fantasia" copy which I have purchased directly on the iTunes Store back in 2010 did not port over. "Fantasia 2000" however, did. :?

Because the whole point of linking the accounts is to have everything in sync, both on the iTunes account and the DMA account, I was going to suggest that maybe you should contact them about not having the DMO titles on iTunes, but seeing as this might be just an error on their part maybe it's best to keep quiet or you might end up losing them on the DMA account as well...
Yeah, that's EXACTLY why I wouldn't contact them - lol!

I checked my iTunes library today and indeed all of my digital copies redeemed through Amazon Instant Video (Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, Mickeys Christmas Carol) are now there (except for those I bought directly from Amazon Instant Video).

Those I upgraded in the old DMO environment (Aladdin, Mulan, Pocahontas, Emperor's New Groove, Tarzan, Toy Story 3, Lion King, Nightmare Before Christmas) are not.

We'll see if that changes, but I'm not holding my breath.
How are your amazon instant purchases on iTunes now I'm not understanding how that works? All my iTunes stuff is there plus Digital copy plus for that title didnt have iTunes as redeemable

stevemcqueen - that is the right way to contact them. I sent some general feedback using the "Contact Us" form and they sent me an email within 48 hours just saying "thanks for sharing your thoughts etc." but there are others sending tech issues and they are being helped that way as well.

DisneySoup, I'm sorry. I think the way I wrote my prior message was confusing. Movie codes I redeemed on Amazon Instant Video (because they were not redeemable on iTunes at the time) now show up in iTunes.

However, movies that I just purchased on Amazon Instant Video (I.e., no code to redeem) are NOT appearing in my iTunes account. I hope that clarifies things.

These are not direct purchases from Amazon. The titles that RyGuy was referring to are last year's Blu-ray releases of which the digital copies weren't originally supported by iTunes (The Sword In The Stone, Robin hood, The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, etc.). Because the DMA system pulls everything from your iTunes purchases (including redeemed iTunes digital copies) PLUS every DMR code you have entered for releases that included digital copies, that's how these were carried over to the DMA account. It has nothing to do with Amazon or Amazon purchases really.

So did you just write a message and provided your email address in the end like I did? I hope I get a reply, it's been over 3 days already.

Even though I wasn't able to watch it on the website, it started downloading on my iTunes - with iTunes Extras and all - I guess it's a great idea.
It's a shame Disney Brasil will never do anything like that.

I'm from Brazil as well, and crazy to use the app! How did you do it? :D

I tried logging onto the website a couple of times, and a window comes up saying I need to update my account, and then it just brings me back to the original log-in screen...but I logged into my DMR account just fine. Has anyone else not been able to log onto Disney Movies Anywhere?

Ok. Bonuses material are very limited compared to DVDs & BR, censoring contents are still there or happen in others (walt & El gruppo on the website doesn't have anymore the uncensored version of Saludos Amigos), service unaccessible outside USA (just like amazon instant, and Warner archives, not even surprised), foreing language options inexistant (yet, they call themselves an intional corporation), accessible only for mac/apple gadgets, etc...

Another good opportunity lost only to cater to mass consumers only. After that they hire people to take down people and services that establish alternatives that they dont want to takes (showing Song of the South on youtube, anyone ?). Way to go, rats.

^Yikes lol. Understand that this is a rollout - we're not even a week in yet. DMA will grow.

While the bonuses for some films don't yet have the amount that their blu/DVD counterparts do, there are certainly some films that do. Little Mermaid and Peter Pan, for instance, have an incredible amount of bonuses included. With the exception of maybe art galleries, I'm pretty certain everything from the blu-ray releases are there, including full length documentaries and DVD archive extras. And they've confirmed that they will be continually adding extras. I'm certain that before long, there will be more extras in DMA than on the blu-rays, because they very much want to entice people to switch.

It isn't available outside the US, which is unfortunate. But surely they are working with the other divisions of the company to get this rolled out in as many territories as possible. This is no different than blu-ray or DVD - different countries have entirely different release schedules.

As for the "only available on Apple/iTunes" argument - again, they have confirmed they are working on an apps for Android and other platforms, as well as working on deals with Amazon, Vudu, and other digital retailers. They're simply launching with the biggest.

As for the censoring... it's unfortunate, but surely you didn't expect this to magically erase all of that? That's a totally different issue.

On their help page, they say you can still watch movies you have already downloaded to your device even without an internet connection, but it's not working for me. The thing is I keep getting logged out of my account (even though I never sign out or even close the app) and can't access the movies I already downloaded to my device.

Is it just me or is this happening to anyone else as well?

I think I'm grasping this concept, but if we have Blu-Rays without a digital copy, but have redeemed a code on DMR, it won't show up in the DMA app? Only the BRs with "Digital Copy" have showed up for me, which is annoying considering some of the newer releases, such as Pocahontas and Mulan's Blu-Ray combo packs, are my favorites but won't show up in the app until I re-purchase a digital copy?

That's correct, for now. Word is though that they may be adding an option to upgrade the films you own that didn't come with a digital copy for a (hopefully small) fee. For instance, rather than paying a whole 19.99 to buy Mulan through iTunes, you could pay $5 to unlock the digital copy since you've already entered the DMR for it.

I guess I'll take what I can get. Thanks for the response!

Can I use the disney movie rewards however redeem my movie in amazon instant videos? I'm unsure about this. Will the DMR section still show up on iTunes?

If you use the DMR point to unlock the movie in DMA, you can then go to digitalcopyplus.com and also redeem it on Amazon, if that is one of the options given for that movie. Seems to good to be true, but that's how it's working right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they change this though, as you're effectively getting two digital copies with one code. There's a good thread about it on blu-ray.com that has been very helpful in understanding how the whole thing works.

Ok so I just got Frozen today and signed up for Disney Movies Anywhere while I was redeeming the points and digital copy.

It's showing up in my DMA account, but how do I get it on my iTunes? When I try to connect accounts via the DMA website, it takes me to the iTunes website and it's telling me I need to download iTunes, which I already have obviously.

Am I missing something? I skimmed this thread but couldn't find an answer.

Thanks!

I would try a different browser. You just need it to go straight to iTunes, rather than to the iTunes website. Also make sure you have iTunes already open. Shouldn't make a difference, but makes things easier.

If it won't work on other browsers, try doing it right on your iPhone/iPad. It'll probably be smoother that way.
