Hello.

Can anybody with an advance copy of The Jungle Book confirm if there is a new trailer for Sleeping Beauty re-release?

I ordered a mystery popcorn vinyl from DMR and it came with a pamphlet advertising The Jungle Book & Sleeping Beauty.

It makes me want to laugh... It's such a blatant example of cross-promotion... It's just hilarious. In a sad sort of way.

I actually like that cover a lot. Very different from the usual happy floating heads or crowd of off model characters covers.

I actually like the artwork but I don't like that they've abandoned the blue border in favor of the gold. I'm thrilled that they decided to put Maleficent on the cover instead of her in the form of the dragon.

I was also hoping for 3D. This film is the ONLY Walt-era film I want on 3D, it would look simply stunning!

Holy crap !!

I absolutely love this cover !!

It's an interesting take on the story; I don't care if it is to cross promote with the film, it's nice to see such a different composition than Aurora snoozing in the top left corner, with Phillip kissing her and also slaying the dragon at the bottom.

I love love love this, and hope they stick with it. Shocked at how much I like it.

Looks pretty good. The sideways title text looks a bit awkward when placed in the middle, but besides that, I like it.

That's a very unusual cover art, but I love it! I never would have expected them to use Aurora in her peasant dress. Maleficent in her human form instead of her dragon form is also a nice change. Imagine how good it will look embossed and holographic. Definitely one of the best cover arts.

Far from the best cover art they could have come up with, but it's a nice change of pace. Aurora actually awake, Maleficent in fairy form, and no Prince Phillip. Those are three things that have always stood an extremely low chance of being on a Sleeping Beauty cover. And I'm all about Maleficent being on the spine! Just like the VHS's from the late 90s!

I agree. While there have been better covers in the past, it's refreshing they haven't used the kissing scene again. I'm actually more surprised they reused artwork from a storybook instead of resorting to their usual clip art.

Thanks! I really like the concept, but it still needs a bit of tinkering.

Hmm... Love the back to back bit, and the art is surprisingly well done... But my god the title going down the middle like that looks SO dumb.

^I never liked vertical titles but I thought people were used to them by now. Is it because it's in the middle? Wouldn't it be worse if it were on the side?

I certainly haven't gotten used to them. In every single case that it's been used, the cover would look just as nice (better imo) with a standard horizontal title. And with it being in the middle it just looks asanine to me. It looks like a 4th grader designed it. Surely it would look nicer with the same artwork with them back to back and the title horizontally at about their waist/knees?

I'll admit that seeing several of the diamond edition titles together makes them look pretty nice as a collection, but the fact that they are only doing it for diamonds, leaving the other titles horizontal, makes for a horribly inconsistent collection of classics. I'm definitely hoping they get over this stupid fad once they get through all the diamonds in a year or two and start with a new collection.

The vertical titles had grown on me slightly, although I've never been a fan. It is the fact that it's in the center that is very odd... Makes it more and more obvious that fanartists could make better covers than Disney's actual marketing department.

I'm actually surprised at the cover because SB always has Aurora in her sleeping pose (which always looks especially hideous because that shot is so beautiful/iconic in the film itself) and Maleficent dragon v. Phillip for every single cover, it's always seemed for me. I'm glad they've changed it up, but I have no doubt that it has more to do with Maleficent than new inspiration.

This new cover looks pretty good. Though I'm still wondering what more they could possibly add to improve over the Platinum Edition. It looks and sounds amazing already.
