I definitely want to go to the sing along showing, though I don't think any of my theaters are having it. :(

Also....
Hey Disney....
Now might be a really good time to announce a new movie. Please stop focusing on Frozen and keep the momentum going. Announce your new animated features. Get a move on, make people excited for it! You can still obsess over Frozen, but don't completely forget that you also have other movies!
And for the love of god, please don't shelve your future movies to make room for a Frozen sequel. Instead of milking Frozen, make sure that the next movies are up to par with what Frozen was!!

ALL OF THIS

I just realized: With DISNEY DESTINATIONS this summer, I bet that Giants or/and Moana will be announced. Most likely Giants. Fairy tales are definitely back at WDAS.

And clearly, I am not the one who's thinking that Frozen's quickily getting over-rated?

Don’t get me wrong, I love Frozen. And above all, I LOVE the attention that it’s getting. No any other WDAS movies, not even Tangled (which people fell in love with) did not receive THIS much attention, esepecially the music. Everywhere on Facebook and Twitter, everyone, I repeat everyone, is quoting it. Esepecially now with that snow storm. :P Everywhere on Youtube, there are covers and meledies etc. of the songs, which is so WONDERFUL because I can’t remember the last time a Disney soundtrack had THIS attention, not even Tangled’s! On Instragram and Vine, it’s both of these. Esepecially with Broadway stars (Well, duh: It’s Mickey Mouse and NYC’s love child)

That’s the problem: EVERYBODY is doing it, and it’s annoying me now. And then, there’s going to be a Broadway show (Thank goodness!), now a possible sequel, rides at Disney parks, a sing-along screening next to Friday, and this and that. Just, oh my gosh, it’s starting to get overwhelming now.

And where's that WIR sequel that we're supposed to be getting and "in the works, right now", but Disney never talks about? I only want a Frozen sequel if it explains Elsa's powers and gives everyone more development. I don't want Disney to only make it to squeeze the every last drop out of the milk out of the cashcow.

They need to realize that a fairytale musical Disney movie with 2, not 1, princesses did really good. This should be a good indicator that it is time to leave behind all the doubts that they had. With Giants or Moana.

I love the attention Frozen is getting, especially since I thought that it was gonna fail miserably. But I just had this discussion with a friend of mine and he was like "Well, they need to prove to their stockholders that they can make money" and I told him that they can do that in private, not in public with the press.
Get a move on. Announce your next fairytale movie. Announce that it will be a musical from the songwriters of Frozen. Don't get hung up on Frozen.
They're re-releasing the movie now with sing along. And there are talks of them re-releasing it in 3D in the holidays. People will start to get annoyed.
That is another problem. Back in the day, I'm sure that obsessions weren't so bad cause there was no internet. If someone was obsessed with Under the sea, beauty and the beast, or A whole new world, they wouldn't record themselves and post it on youtube, cause it didn't exist. Now people get annoyed and tired faster when they constantly feel that Frozen is shoved down their throat. I know many people who are getting tired of the whole trend. And this is where the problem starts. The general public will soon realize that Disney is milking frozen and they will get annoyed.
They're holding off on the merchandise, they're holding off on the 3D Blu-ray, they're making the broadway show, they're making new rides, they're re-releasing it. People are gonna notice and they're not gonna like it and they will talk about Disney in a bad way. "Oh! Disney only wants our money! It's no longer about the magic!" and stuff like that!

The Mandarin and the Swedish versions of 'Let it Go' from that compilation video are hauntingly beautiful.

Yeah it is a bit insane, but as soon as June comes and HttyD 2 comes out, everything will come to a crashing stop. Also Boxtrolls,

Yeah, but june is in like 5 months... I'm not sure I can take 5 months of Disney constantly pushing Frozen. Maybe it'll all end after the oscars.

Or in a couple of weeks when The LEGO Movie opens, which a lot of people are hyped for (for obvious and deserving reasons).

Overreaction runs rampant in this thread. All you have to do to escape Frozen mania is GET OFF THE INTERNET. The average person is not hearing about all the things that are in the works, it's Disney fans. For years it's been "I wish WDAS would have a huge hit so they can make a comeback" and now that they've had it, some Disney fans are upset because Disney is trying to keep its success going. What?!? That is unheard of. All of this has happened before and it will happen again. Just enjoy the ride.

Something I just noticed....

Love Is An Open Door is a mix of two Disney song tropes into one. It's not just the cheeky love song, but also, technically speaking, the villain song.

There's a line near the beginning of the song where Hans subtly reveals his motivations. He says, "I've been searching my whole life for my own place", but he isn't talking about being with Anna, but Arendelle. He knew that he would have difficulty getting into the throne without marrying, and he wanted a place to rule. Arendelle could easily be that place.

Another fun detail: When Hans reveals his true self to Anna, he leaves her to freeze to death by, how else, slamming a door on her face and keeping her from saving Elsa. So much for Hans being the key to open a door.

"The Nut Job" is getting a sequel? It must have been really cheap to make. The trailer did not look appealing, and after seeing what it scored on Rotten Tomatoes, it looks like I would only watch if it was on TV and I had nothing better to do.

With all the Disney songs countdown on YouTube, "Frozen" will definitely knock all of them on their side, unless they truly did not like the film at all. When watching and listening to them (yes, I do that when I get bored) these days, it seems unusual not to have the likes of "Let It Go" or "For the First Time in Forever" in them.

Not sure if I'm going to the sing along version, as it would look very unusual for me to show up at it, since I would more likely, be going alone. And be crazy enough to actually sing along to it, and cause everyone's glasses to crack. :)

Dear God, why? Because it broke a record in January? But come on, almost any film would have done that. Please don't become the next Ice Age...

When the Frozen karaoke release beats the Nut Job, only then will I be at rest.

The biggest thing that I finally noticed in the song "Frozen Heart", is that it not only mentions Elsa, but Hans as well.

Split the ice apart, and break the frozen heart- Elsa
Split the ice apart, beware the frozen heart- Hans

Isn't that fascinating?

I don't know why you folks are upset about a sequel being made to a movie you likely didn't see. When it opens two Januarys from now, it will have zero affect on your life and it will have created jobs for animators.

Frankly, as animation fans, we should never root for an animated feature to bomb. When an animated feature bombs, animators lose their jobs. When an animated feature is a success (like The Nut Job appears to have done), that creates jobs for animators. It's the reason I go see all animated films that open, because it supports the animation industry and employment grows. As the old saying goes, "Every time a ticket is sold, an animator keeps his job" or something along those lines, I may be paraphrasing.

Oh God! That movie is soooooo stuuuuuuuuuupid! It's not that it's CGI, it's just stupid. Despicanle Me 1 & 2 are better movies than Nut Job. It better not compete Zootopia or Giants. If it did, I'm going to be furious! :glare:

Wow, somebody didn't bother to read the post right above him.

Plus, it's coming out in January which is a safe distance away from the Disney movies. Gone are the Don Bluth days of smaller studios opening their animated films anywhere near Disney's.

Yeah, but I heard he's trying to make a comeback by making a movie version of Dragon's Lair in 2D hand drawn animation.
