so.....is there no dvd-blu ray combo pack in dvd packaging that is going to be released? all i have see are blu-dvd combo in blu ray packaging and dvd only.

Don't understand what the problem is. Are you still using a regular DVD player or have you not upgraded to a Blu-ray player? It never matters to me, because of the almost 1,000 Blu-ray titles I own, I only have two DVD/Blu-ray in DVD cases (the tall ones) and it doesn't really matter to me.

I wouldn't make such a fuss over this, because DVD's are slowly going to be going away in the next few years anyway.

It's not that I really want the DVD in the combo pack, I just HATE the artwork with all that ugly gold. I much prefer the DVD+Blu artwork with the blue border. And, I have NO use whatsoever for the digital copy.

Wait, are you looking for the DVD packaging with they grey border? Or the blu-ray packaging with the blue border and no gold? I hate the gold as well, I'm waiting to see if the regular blue border will pop up somewhere. They showed the cover art in the press release, so I'm hoping it'll be somewhere.

I really can't see how these gold covers are getting approved. They are easily the ugliest movie covers I've ever seen.

Yes! I am wanting to know if the only packaging available is going to the be ugly Gold case used for the blu-ray/dvd combo pack or the regular dvd version. All of the other Diamond releases have generally had three packaging options

Blu-ray/DVD combo-blue border and case-Blu ray packaging

Blu-ray/DVD combo-gray border and black case-DVD packaging

Dvd only-different artwork and typical black dvd packaging

And for the record! I wasn't making a "fuss"..I was simply asking a question

To answer his remarks, I haven't seen a Gold cover on a Blu-ray/DVD package, so I am not sure where he gets his copies of the Disney movies.

In this particular case I don't feel junkie was doing anything out of line.

To stay on topic, I do prefer the Blu ray Combo Packs and not in the DVD Case. I think the only one I have in a DVD Case is Snow White Blu Ray. I have the one in the DVD box and one in the Blu ray box after all, the art of Snow White on the DVD case is amazing.

Anyways, the gold covers are insanely ugly. I don't know how you've missed them.


To answer your question, justcuttinhair, I would assume somewhere will have the regular blue version at some point, but it may be harder to find. Right now the only version available to preorder anywhere is the gold version: http://www.amazon.com/Jungle-Book-Two-D ... ok+blu+ray

Also to add onto your previous post, there's actually been at least four packaging options for the Diamond Editions recently. To use the Little Mermaid as an example:

3D Combo Pack: Unique artwork, silver border, blu-ray case.
Combo Pack w/ Digital Copy: Gold artwork, gold border, blu-ray case.
Standard Blu-ray Combo Pack: Regular artwork, blue border, blu-ray case.
Standard DVD Combo Pack: Regular artwork, grey border, DVD case.
Barebones DVD: Unique artwork, black bar, DVD case.

So, I think we'll see more options pop up as we get closer to release date. I'm holding off for this one:

When somebody asks a simple direct question (that WAS pretty clear, as junkie seems to think that grey border DVD case combo packs are not that important) you don't start off a reply with "I don't understand what the problem is" and accuse them of making "such a fuss" unless it is your intent to make them feel belittled, like they are waisting everyone's time. In no way did junkie attempt to answer their question, but instead paint himself as some superior being and got on their case because he just doesn't understand why people would or should care about such a thing.

It is alright! I appreciate the people who took the time to answer my question....it seems as though the only one I can find...are the blu-ray combo pack with gold cover...have yet to seen any others except the barebones dvd.

1. What previews are included?

2. Does the pamphlet inside indicate what the Spring 2015 Diamond will be?

So far, the answer seems yes. 2 weeks away and there is still no pre-order for the blue-bordered version anywhere and even the original press release didn't mention anything about that version being available. Also, the store exclusive from Wal-Mart seems to be carrying the gold version and up until now store exclusives for Diamond Editions always carried the regular blue-bordered versions...

2. muppets most wanted
3. pirate fairy
4. frozen
5. disney channel stuff
6. movie rewards

thats it.....no other previews
