Exclusive: Christian Siriano dresses a 'Pirate Fairy'
This is becoming a trend. First, Ken Paves creates Periwinkle's hairstyle and now Christian Siriano designs Zarina's pirate outfit. Either Peggy Holmes is really into fashion or Disney believes that these collaborations will help market the film. I don't mind them even though they seem a bit gratuitous. There's nothing here that a character designer or costume designer at the studio couldn't come up with on their own.

In other news, the first merchandise for The Pirate Fairy is starting to pop up. A new doll line by Jakks Pacific has been spotted at Target.

So is it official that The Pirate Fairy will be the final movie? Sorry if it's been asked but they seem determined to not delete it off of the wikipage for the film series, saying "nothing is confirmed" but anyone can edit that so...

No, the film after The Pirate Fairy titled Legend of the Never Beast is supposed to be the last one.

So, am I the only one who loves how Periwinkle is included in the merchandise? I swear, as soon as these dolls pop up here in Brazil, I'll buy Peri and Zarina in a heartbeat.

Speaking of which, here in Brazil the movie will come out on the same day as Dreamworks' Peabody and Sherman movie. A day that also happens to be my birthday.

Oh good! thanks for letting me know. It's such a shame because I think theres so much more they could do with this film series, so I'm glad we'll at least get another movie after this one.

I still think 'Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy' can change that if it's a success!

Apparently, merchandise is selling well even though the movie is not out yet. That's a good sign, right?

Stephen Berman, President and CEO, JAKKS Pacific, Inc., stated, "Our first quarter results were gratifying and bode well for the balance of the year. Top contributors for the quarter included dolls, dress-up and role play in our Frozen line, Disney® Pirate Fairies dolls and dress-up, preschool foot-to-floor ride-ons and wagons, and many more."

I can't wait to read your opinion of it. And keep your eyes peeled for any homages to 'Peter Pan', please. I'd so love to see Mermaid Lagoon before they're done with these films.
