One half of the Everly Brothers has passed away. Phil Everly, 74, passed away today. He died from complications from COPD, according to his wife, who reported his death to the L.A. Times.
The Everly Brothers had a string of hits in the 50's and 60's that included "Bye Bye Love", "All I Have To Do Is Dream", "Problems", "Wake Up Little Suzie", "Temptation", "Poor Jenny", "Cryin' In The Rain", "Ebony Eyes", "That's Old Fashioned" and many, many more.
They broke up as a duo three times in their career, with Phil Everly being the more successful as a solo act. Their fabulous reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall was big news in the 70's and was broadcast as a HBO Special, that was later released on video and DVD.
