I think this show pulled off of not only having a "slightly" real look at high school, but it created a lot of memorable and funny female characters in a mainstream animated show. The writing itself was great and the continuity was stellar.

What do you think of this show?

Best thing that ever aired on MTV.

It was great to see a female-centric series, moreso in the high school setting that didn't rely so heavily on stereotypes in either subject.

Like the trope changer that Kevin Thompson and Brittney Taylor the quarterback and cheerleader respectively are not mean spirited, just plain stupid. One of my favorite quotes from both Daria and Jane was in the episode: "I Don't".

Jane: Oh Scarlett, you grow lovlier by the day.
Daria: I will kill you, and bury your body in this dress.

For anybody who hasn't picked this series up, Amazon has the complete series (66 episodes, 2 movies, plus extras) on sale for $14.99.

Somebody posted this on another forum I go to, and I snatched it up. I thought later today that I should pass it on for anybody else who didn't want to pay between $30-$80 for this. :)
