SpaceAce: Last question, I promise. :P I saw a picture of Ariel and Ursula pops that was a different version, but I'm not sure what they're called to look for. They aren't the regular or metallic versions; they're glittery and dotted like disco balls. There was one other version I saw. I'm not sure I want this one, but: the characters were solid colors--Ariel's head was solid red and her body was gold; Ursula's head was purple and her body was black. I don't know if I care to get this version, but it'd be nice to know what it's called or if it's just something fan-made.

Also, I saw a picture of the Dumbo pop with his clown makeup? Is that a real pop or just fanmade? I ask, because I’ve seen some fan-made ones before. Thanks for any help.

The Ariel and Ursula you saw that were glittery were customs. The others are prototypes.

Yes, Clown Dumbo is real. He was made for Funko Funday at SDCC. There was gold one made for the event also. Each one is limite edition of 48.

Ooh, it is happening!

Rafiki looks kind of creepy with his wide yellow eyes, but Simba balances it out by being as adorable as I imagined. I would've liked Scar to be here instead of one of them, but at least the film is getting some recognition from Funko. :P

Yay for Rafiki! BOO for no Scar! :( Ah, well.

Now that they're doing these new, smaller sets, it'd be awesome to get a whole set of villains. Imagine, four villains at a time! It'd be a faster way of rolling them out.

Maybe that's why Scar isn't in the set? I'm thinking a set of villains that includes Scar, Lady Tremaine, Dr. Facilier, and Mother Gothel? I know you'd like Ratigan, but those seem like the four most likely to me.

Replace Gothel with Gaston or Hades or even the Queen of Hearts, and I think you're right on the money.

Ratigan, unless there is a God in heaven, probably doesn't have a chance. I do think we will see Frollo in the future, though. Whether as part of a Villain set or part of a Hunchback set (along with Esmeralda and Quasimodo). Funko doesn't seem to be so fickle about the characters they produce (Rocketeer, anyone?) as Disney at large seem to be.

Welcome to why I don't really like Funko Pops in general. It's those creepy dot eyes. It works with stuff like Adventure Time or characters that kinda already have all black eyes like Jack, Oogie Boogie, or the Rocketeer, but it just weirds me out on other characters. Only Funko Pop products I got are a plush Vampire Teddy and Mahna Mahna.

I don't usually mind the big eyes myself. Actually, more often than not, I find them cute, although the one instance where they emphatically did not work for me, to the point that I had to pass, was with their set for The Simpsons. Then again, I don't think Groening's designs were ever meant to be "cute".

Not sure I like those yet, but Simba looks the best of the four. I'm guessing they'll release another Simba in the future, with his grown-up design. I would've rather had Scar and Mufasa than Timon and Pumbaa.

I don't mind the big black dots for eyes concept, but I don't like when they have eyeballs with no eyes in them (like with Goofy). Goofy actually is one of their better designs, but having nothing but white there is really creepy.

Yeah, Goofy is creepy. He looks like one of the twins from The Shining or something.

Jafar has white eyes, too, but he doesn't really have that eerie effect on me that Goofy does. I do wish his eyes were black, though. I guess they didn't want them to clash with the dark rings around the eyes? Rafiki's yellow ones just make sense, I think, considering that's how they are in the film. I imagine Hades will end up having similar eyes.

Popcultcha has put up pre-orders for four Pops based off of Finding Nemo. While there is no photos at this time we do know the four Finding Nemo Pops will be Nemo(DUH!), Dory, Crush, and Bruce

Considering the sequences of four figures (first TLK and now Finding Nemo), it makes me wonder if they plan to have a princess sequence with their newest: Tiana, Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa? I hope so--I want all four.

Come to think of it, I actually could see different versions for some princesses, considering their different outfits. Maid Cinderella, Wedding Ariel or (more likely) Blue Dress Ariel or Pink Dress Ariel, Blue Dress Belle, Slave Outfit Jasmine, Blue Dress Tiana and Bayou Dress Tiana, Green Dress Anna and Winter Coat Anna. Who am I kidding... I mean, I think it's possible, but not until all the other characters are released. (I'm only thinking about it, because I want Tiana and Anna in their green dresses, but I think the blue dress and winter outfit are more likely. :(

I'd really like to see 3 waves of 4 at a time, for a total of 12 a year. (Just like the old series use to be.) They could be specific movie based...(Like the Lion King and Wreck-It Ralph sets) and, like you suggested, a Princess set. Plus a Prince and Villains set.

I honestly don't think we'll see costume changes until they've exhausted all other avenues. There are so many characters that could be done, it would be kind of an insult to roll out variations of the more popular 'princesses' before the niche films that collectors really hope to see. (I'm thinking of stuff like Robin Hood, Hunchback, Alice in Wonderland, Hercules, etc.)

So right now they have the following sets of 4 planned, right?

-Roger Rabbit
-Various characters (mostly Beauty and the Beast characters, but also Bambi)
-The Lion King
-Finding Nemo

A princess set would definitely fit in well. So would a DuckTales set, even if it's just Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie. :p
