Believe it or not, the DVD uses a more durable white case than the Blu-ray does since the DVD is less scratch-resistant than the Blu-ray's. I checked mine, and both are in perfect shape. There'salso the bubble packaging inside the envelope, so things should be fine.Pasta67 wrote:
*shudders* Ugh, I'm not a fan of the way they're sending these out. I hate those little white disc envelopes. I'll give this replacement program a shot, but it looks like it's going to take a miracle for those discs to reach my house unscratched.

This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
So what exactly is being fixed in these replacement discs other than Part of Your World?
Cause I saw the video below and am also irked by the lack of the fading transition into the Scuttle scene and the piece of missing/torn film in the top right corner at the 3:38 mark.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
The only fixes are the PoyW scene and the Scuttle fade is back in. Everything else like the "Walt Disney Pictures Presents" in the wrong spot is still off. I can live with the things they didn't put back to the way the were before. It was really just the end of PoyW that irked me too much to enjoy the scene, so I am happy with the replacement disc.
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Guys, do you think Disney will send replacement discs if I purchased my copy from Germany? Or does it necessarily have to be from the US?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I would bet that they are not eligible because this is a North American program and the disc IDs would not match.

Does anyone know when you order a new copy from Amazon if it's the old incorrect version?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
thanks for answering my question..I know a little mermaid sing-along cd exists but from what i can work out they are not ORIGINAL versions? But the promo video of people singing to Under The Sea sounds like it is an official instrumental to me..and it is a shame we can't get itMickeyfan1990 wrote:I can answer your question spikeyroberto. The Karaoke songs on Blu-ray discs (be it Little Mermaid or The Muppet Movie) are non-instrumental tracks. In other words, you're hearing the songs as originally released on the soundtrack since the film versions feature sound effects and whatnot. I don't know how those people got a hold of an instrumental version of Under The Sea (they probably have some special machine that puts the dialogue far off in the background).

Well…it's not like the films are exactly works of art, themselves.xxhplinkxx wrote:Why the hell is the cover art for TLM 2 and 3 combo pack so ugly :'(
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Disney said they'll send a replacement disc even if my copy's from Germany.
Which is very surprising, but, boy, am I glad, I'm going to own the corrected version after all.

No news on the replacement of the 3D version?
Are we not going to put some pressure on them again?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I bought the japanese 3d combo. It appears that both discs contain the correct version minus the intended changes to the opening credit. The 2d disc only has japanese menu but the 3d disc has english, japanese and russian.
do you still wait for me Dream Giver?

I'm still waiting on mine as well. Getting a bit nervous. It's been several weeks. Unfortunately I haven't been able to call and check on their status given WDHV's hours and my work schedule. Not feeling too confident about the whole thing at the moment.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Wow, I feel lucky for getting mine so early, but then again, I think I mentioned that this was a birthday gift, which might have made Disney rush on sending my replacements out.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Disney Channel aired Mermaid yesterday and this morning, I was wondering which version they'd end up playing. Looks like it was the corrected version. So I'll probably keep this on my DVR until I can afford the blu ray.
