LET IT GO!

http://thedisneydifference.tumblr.com/p ... soundtrack

Not really a big fan.... It feels too broadway and not movie enough.. I kind of expected it to be epic since it's the ice palace scene..

And I really don't like the bridge.. It doesn't feel like it fits with the song..

Would have been better with "movie" orchestration.. Kind of like the ending of Part of Your World.

But you gotta admit.. That Idina Menzel has got a voice!

Those aren't terrible recordings but it's hard to appreciate them with the bad quality/ambient crowd noise.

I think after all is said and done my favorite song will be the troll song though  I wouldn't have expected that.

Goodness, I'm hyped about the songs! Really liking what I'm hearing so far, I have no doubt that they will sound so much better in the film (minus the chattering in the background!). I do think that 'Fixer Upper' may be a favourite of mine too, but it's a bit early to tell- I do believe I will love them all. I am SUPER excited to hear the opening chants 'properly' in the cinema.

I really like Let It Go, but Idina's voice seems to break at times. But the orchestrations sound fantastic. :D

I really can't wait for Love is an Open Door! That one is def. my favorite of all the snippets.

To be honest, the only song that really impressed me was "For The First Time In Forever". It sounds like a classic, Disneyesque Broadway song and captures the classic Disney mood and feeling. The reprise was okay, the same goes for "Do You Want To Build A Snowman". However, I wasn't quite fond of the final execution of "Let It Go". I didn't liked the drums or how they made the song more pop song than Demi Lovato's version. And to be honest, I didn't like Idina Menzel's high pitches for that song (yes, I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but that's how I feel).

Yeah, I am not fond of the drums either. But other than that, I really like the music! Just like the 90s :) Can't wait for the trolls. That's my fave so far!

Well, now. I just listened to Let It Go, and I'm pretty impressed. I didn't exactly expect anything, but I found it rather enjoyable. The orchestration is pretty cool and Menzel's vocals are pretty perfect.

"Let It Go" is more upbeat than I expected, but it makes sense given the content. It's Elsa breaking out of her shell and unleashing all her powers to create her fortress

I'm sure it will be stunning with the visuals. All the animation from that scene looks amazing.

Glad I listened a few minutes ago when I did. Tim's already taken them down.

The sisters will be having their debut in the parade today for the first time (taking Ariels spot apparently) and are now featured in the Christmas windows:

I absolutely love "Let It Go", and will love it even more watching the scene in the movie with the gorgeous animation. Really nice and uplifting song number.

Thanks for posting new links to the songs! I missed them the first time too.
I think I like "For The First Time In Forever" more than "Let It Go", but both are good songs.

Here's an article about Frozen songs with interviews with Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez:
http://variety.com/2013/film/features/f ... 00799528/#
Still, they felt the pressure of such modern Disney classics as “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast,” whose Alan Menken-Howard Ashman songs not only won Oscars but are perceived as the Broadway-style standard for modern animated films. “Whenever we were feeling particularly lost, our battle cry was, ‘What would Ashman do?’ ” says Anderson-Lopez, “because he was such a force not only as a lyricist but he understood how to tell a story using music.”

WOW! Let it Go is amazing! Idina's performance, the orchestrations, the lyrics, everything is awesome!!! :D :D :D

I also really love For the First Time in Forever, now THATS how you do a classic Disney "I Want" song. :)

As for the article, Kristen Lopez I think, is one of the best new lyricists to come to Disney in a long time. That's saying quite a lot but I sure don't care! :P
