Jafar is in Once Wonderland, and Cora hasn't appeared yet; the writers have said that they really want her to, especially to show her relationship with the Red Queen.

Ursula is making an appearance in this weeks show of Once, in the episode 'Ariel'.

I wonder if they will have Ariel back for future episodes? Or is she a one shot story arc?

I abosultely love Jafar in that series. They make him truly evil with no soft spots. I wouldn't expect to see a Jafar any other way.

I read that Ariel's Story is only a flashback of sorts and we won't see Ariel show up in Storybrooke or Neverland. Also It seems that Ursula is actually Regina in Disguise

Regarding Wonderland

Since the White Rabbit's holes seem to bend time, I suppose Cora could show up, even though currently she is dead. Alice is in a 1920s institution, however the White Rabbit goes to the knave in Storybrooke to recruit him to help save Alice from having a procedure to forget her fantasy world

Thank you atlantica and disneyboy! I thought that snake staff looked too much like Jafar's to be a different character's in the previews, lol. Can't wait to see Ursula!

I'm just going to state a couple things and I'll be done as I'd like to try to get back on topic here

For the longest time, it was actually considered a sin for an interracial couple to marry and that hasn't been upheld anymore. Everyone deserves their happily ever after, no matter what their preference in gender is or isn't

To get back on topic

It will be interesting to see what Hook does with the news that Neal is alive. Also when Pan and the lost boys lifted Neal up into a cage there was another one. My bets are on it being Tinkerbell, though if not her, perhaps Rumpelstiltskin
I thought it'd be rumple too, but after seeing the promo(and waiting three days to think about it) it might be Ariel. Though I'd like to believe she's in storybrooke as the GMS feature implied

Not a problem Disney Duster

I wonder if she will stick around as Aurora / Mulan did, or vanish as Cinderella did. I wonder why she has never been mentioned again ... has it been talked about anywhere ?

I am so over Once merging every villain into Regina and Rumple. It is old and it is beyond boring. This is the one time I wanted them do things right and of course it is just same old same old.

They way they treated Cinderella in her debut episode ("You hate your life? Then change it! There's no fairy godmothers!") made it seem like the writers had disdain for her character and didn't want to work with her much but they felt they had to include her at least once because she's one of the big, most well known fairy tales. Thankfully they let her have that other episode where she got proposed to and it was romantic. It is a little weird she's never been seen again though. I mean she was friends with Snow White.

Yes, I thought they were firm friends from the flashback it seemed ?! I wonder if it was due to the actress not being available ?

This is a nice article on Ariel (spoilers):

I'm glad she is retaining the qualities of the animated Ariel not just in looks but in personality as well.

Cinderella (well Ashley) appeared very briefly in the pilot episode for Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

I'd say it's more than a cameo opposed to an appearance as she only appears for at the most 10 seconds. It's to confusing for me to write what happened exactly

Are you able to watch Once Upon a Time in Wonderland in some way. The first couple episodes were kinda bleh, but the most recent episode was a big step up that made it feel like both are in the same universes.

Hmm well that proves she hasnt been completely forgotten be the writers then I suppose ? How odd though to only have her for a few seconds ...

Well disneyboy20022 Chanel 5 airs 'Once' here hasn't advertised 'Wonderland' at all ... I don't know if they even have picked it up ? The only way I could see it would be the naught way.

Hmmm that's odd it hasn't been advertised. I wonder if it's not playing in the UK yet or not. Wasn't at some point the original not airing the same time as it was in the US?

We get everything a few months later then you guys, but have no breaks when the season runs like you do. So it has it's advantages and disadvantages of coming later.

I think Once started in October here? But there was a HUGE advertising campaign for it - teasers and trailers for months ahead. Unless Wonderland is starting in January? We used to have Desperate Housewives season premiere always in Feb, when you'd get them in the September of the year before.

Watched quite a few clips on YouTube .... Does the Red Queen improve at all in her acting? So far from what I've seen she's shocking...! Looks like she can barely speak from her over-inflated lips!

The First Two episodes are kinda meh to me, however the third episode makes me actually believe that this takes place within the same Once world

Probably because we see the Knave of Hearts/Will joining Robin Hood and the Merry Men in a flashback though. The thrid episode is called Forget Me Not. The Caterpillar is in this scene and he has a bounty of the Knave of Hearts, because he owes him money. The Caterpillar looks uncanny to Jabba The Hutt and his layer looks like Jabba's Palace.

Just speculating, but: I've been reading some other people's thoughts on other forums, plus some spoilers for tonight's episode and I wonder if they're going to go in a direction on the show in the future where Ursula and Triton may be gods in another realm? I know they've been edging closer and closer to a realm for Greek mythology and *spoiler right here* mermaids can swim across the different realms, so I wonder if the real Ursula and Triton could show up in the future? None of these are my ideas, but I know someone on another forum was speculating that perhaps Peter Pan is really supposed to be Pan the god on this show (or, at least, the two are combined), and that would definitely be interesting if they go there. It would tie in with the show's focus on prophecies/destiny/fate lately.

I hope the show lasts at least 2 more seasons after this one. I'd love to see them get to Oz eventually.

I was really worried Regina was also going to be Ursula, especially since Lana Parilla has stated Ursula is her favourite Disney character and wanted to play her, but I was so happy she isn't. I usually like it when Once combines characters, but the downside is that one of the combined characters often doesn't exist in the Once universe, like the Beast/Prince Adam. And I really wanted Ursula to exist in the Once-universe and for her to appear, like Malificent did. And now that's possible!

Also, I caught Yvette Nicole Brown's name in the begin credits, so I already guessed she would play/voice the real Ursula. And she did! I wonder if she's going to appear as the character eventually, even though Yvette Nicole Brown already played Goldilocks in Good Morning Storybrooke.

By the way.. JoAnna Garcia Swisher was so cute as Ariel, glad she's going to be a recurring character. I didn't really care for Eric in the episode, but the actor did a good job and I wonder when Ariel and Eric are going to reunite.

WOW Just Wow. Next week's episode might be the best one this season. I'm glad Ariel is going to indeed travel to StoryBrooke to give the town a message. I'm very excited about this. I am surprised Hook told Charming and Snow about Neal and I'm happy Snow just told Emma as holding that secret in could ruin any future relationship her parents would want to have with Emma. Apparently Ursula really does exist, and that makes me wonder if Disney's Divinity Might be on to something.

I do hope this goes two more seasons, as surprisingly the last person in my household who I thought would get into this is now addicted to it, that person is my dad.

Seeing Ursula was so awesome! Okay, once she was real and once she was fake, but both times were awersome! Regina played her very well! Did things just like her. I, too, am glad Ariel is sticking around and may get her prince.

I wish I caught that bit of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland when they show Ashley. Maybe I can find it online. Was it in the beginning, middle, or end?

I personally didn't like Parilla's take on Ursula, although I like her as the Queen and I know she's an Ursula fan. It was a bit too much copycat to work, just imo.

Surprisingly, I think Garcia works as Ariel much more than I thought. Plus, my mother and I agreed that, after the travesty that has been their casting of Belle/Aurora/Snow White, it really could be much much much worse. I hate the guy they cast for Eric though. Eric needs to be hot at least.

Is that who it was? I thought it sounded familiar. I really hope she's not the official Ursula if/when she becomes a major storyline, although her voicework was good. I honestly think they just used her because they're saving Ursula for a later season, methinks, and they used someone whose similar to the idea they have for her until they need to cast someone specifically. So I'm thinking Ursula will definitely be played by a black woman, and to be honest, that's the only way she would work if she's not played by an older lady or a drag queen (and they probably would prefer something different than an elderly lady villain since they already had Cora last season).

I'm also glad they gave Ariel an essential function in the story (realm-jumping) so hopefully she won't be thrown to the side as easily as some of the other side characters have been. Tbh, in an ideal world, they'd have all the characters on all the time, but I don't think they can afford (literally, with all the special effects) to have everyone appear just to stand in the background of some scenes all the time, which is why Cinderella/Hans & Gretel/Red/Geppetto/etc. aren't always there. I believe they said the Magic Mirror/Genie/Sidney Glass would be returning this season, which I'm looking forward to, actually. I know with all the Aladdin stuff (including a mention tonight) that he'll probably fit right in this season. Even though Jafar is currently the Big Bad on OUAT in Wonderland, I hope eventually he gets to be a big bad on the regular OUAT at some point considering Naveen is doing a phenomenal job. I hope Ursula and Maleficent get their chances, too.
