Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
For those who've received the replacements already: what condition do they come in? I had worried a little when I sent off my discs that I would get the replacements and they would have marks/scratches on the back...

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
They look fine on my part! The discs came in little sleeves that were sealed in a decently-sized envelope, with no scratches to be found.Disney's Divinity wrote:For those who've received the replacements already: what condition do they come in? Now, I haven't got around to watching the movie yet, since I've been busy, but I'm hoping to have time to check out the DVD version tonight to see if the restoration was fixed!

Mine came the same way. I also haven't got around to watching them yet but I'll do it this week.Avaitor wrote:They look fine on my part! EDIT
The package the discs came in was a bubbled envelope you could find at a dollar tree. This concerns me as I guess there is a chance the USPS screws up and the discs could get damaged. You would think Disney would send them in a more secure packaging than a bubbled mailer of a dollar store quality; though then again, it doesn't

Let's see: I've sent mine this past wednesday, so... what? 2 weeks or more I'll be getting them? Those who got them: how long did you have to wait?
Whatever happens, I'm patient on this.

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
I called today and the lady said some people might not get their replacement discs till THANKSGIVING!
I hope I get mine soon because I called when I saw it on here two days after the release!
The lady couldn't tell me if it was received because they haven't even scanned all of them in yet.
Ughhhh not fair!

Not fair?
Wasn't the estimated time frame 6 to 8 weeks? If we all get them by Thanksgiving then that's only a little over 4 weeks from now ….AND we are getting a replacement disc unlike our friends overseas, so your complaining about this particular circumstance is probably not the best idea.

I've been through replacement programs that lasted a month or more, so this doesn't surprise me. ... though if she says that it'll be released till Thanksgiving... Hey, that'd be great timing! Getting your replacement disc and watching it during the holiday break!Matt wrote:I called today and the lady said some people might not get their replacement discs till THANKSGIVING!![]()

And yes, I do feel bad for those that live overseas and Disney is not providing immediate replacements for their copies. A worldwide distributor and they wouldn't provide the same actions in foreign countries as much as the US?

Re: The Little Mermaid: Diamond Edition - Fall 2013
Hi everyone - this is my first post and I LOVE this film
I wanted to ask this question..on youtube we see a video of people singing along to "Under The Sea" and it sounds like a full instrumental version..however the crab-e-oke video also on youtube is just the lyrics on screen to the original track
So what I am asking is - on the blu-ray do you get any option to hear a full instrumental of any of the songs to sing to - or is it just vocal versions?
Many thanks to anyone who can help

If Disney corrected their errors before releasing the Diamond Edition, no one would have to complain or even write to them on "THEIR" errors.DancingCrab wrote:Not fair?

If you have a us version Blu-ray Copy of The Little Mermaid and you live in Europe.
you can get also a replacement disc.

I realised a while ago I should have bought a US disc. I'm an impulse buyer and I like instant gratification.Mermaid On Land wrote:If you have a us version Blu-ray Copy of The Little Mermaid and you live in Europe.

I really think us Europeans should have the same treatment as the US but that's now another story for another topic.
Oh well, getting used to it slowly. The tail now annoys me more than the part of your world screw up but the whole beginning of the blu-ray makes me cringe inside.
