Does anyone know if the iTunes version of the film has the corrected Part of Your World now? I'd like to download it seeing as I'm shipping off my Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow to get them replaced.

Yes, all of the digital versions have been switched out with the corrected version. :-)

Better than nothing. Glad to see it's coming back to Television. (at least Disney still presents their classic content on various channels rather than always providing the newer content that may not be tolerable for everyone.) For a movie such as this, you'd think they'd be better off showing this on ABC. But yet again, times have changed, and either I'm imagining or I do not recall seeing ABC showing Disney films recently. But ABC Family is good enough (though I doubt I would catch this since I've gotten the Blu-ray/DVD version... dealing with the replacement program right now, that is.) And to have this shown during the holiday season probably would make this airing a bit more special compared to playing this during a regular season.
This is DisneyFTW1, a former Youtube account that was terminated by Disney themselves. My current Youtube Account is FilmFTW2 (FilmFTW1 was terminated). Youtube sucks when it comes to film uploads, and it sucks even more when major corporations are following your channels. But what can I do?

I don't have a blu-ray drive on my PC so I can't make a picture comparison. Skip to 2.28.

Apologies if you have seen it before but this demonstrates the tail colour change. I don't usually even notice a colour change but this is the first time a colour change has annoyed me, intentional or not.

She just looks wrong.
Bottom line is I'm still glad to have this on blu-ray despite my complaining. I don't imagine we will see it in a physical copy ever again.
I have the Sothebys LM cel auction catalog. Its green there(same exact scene) just like the 2006 dvd.

I wonder if they'll air the corrected version or the old one.

I'm excited to see it on television. I don't think it has been on TV since either 1998/1999 when it came on ABC. It will be a special airing given that it is premiering during ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas event. I know Mary Poppins is also coming on television during that period as well.

I can't answer you, but I suggest you post this question in the official "Little Mermaid on Blu-ray Thread", where it will more likely get noticed.

Just a heads up, as Marce said, this will probably get moved into the Little Mermaid topic. :)

To answer your question, yes and no. The feature on TLM blu-ray recalls the same lecture that Howard gave that's featured in Waking Sleeping Beauty, but there is a new commentary from John Musker and Ron Clements instead of the handful of people including Alan Menken. If my memory is correct, the new feature showcases much more of what Ashman actually said along with Musker's and Clements commentary as opposed to the WSB segment that was more focused on people remembering Ashman's contributions to the film.

Thanks Patrick!

Hmmm... so basically the ONLY thing Im really interested as far as TLM blu ray goes is the "live action reference" feature... not sure if its worth it to me.... oh well...

You're not excited about the (reportedly great!) restoration?

Why reportedly great ? I have yet to see the whole remastered film, but I saw some clips, and it looks spectacular.

A member at over blu-ray.com states that they ordered the Japanese edition and that it does not have either the POYW swap or the Scuttle transition errors; everything else, whether considered an error or an acknowledged change, is still present.

Me too. Actually, I was having a bad day so I hoped when I opened my mailbox I'd find my replacement discs. Instead, I got a rejection letter for a big scholarship I was up for.

Damn it. I'd rather have "Mermaid" anyway.

Perhaps both of you will get yours in the coming week given it's apparent that they have shipped or are shipping now.
